This week we proudly celebrated the incredible support staff who make such a positive difference to our school community every day.

A big thank you to our Schools Officer, Mr Smith; Administration team members, Mrs Hannah and Mrs Leonard; Business Manager, Mrs Cloudsley; Speech Pathologist, Mrs Spargo; Social Worker, Mrs Burnett; and our wonderful cleaning team, Deb, Tracie, Roushel and Marita.

To recognise their dedication and hard work, staff members were presented with chocolates, sweet treats and heartfelt cards created by our students.

Thank you also to our P&C for their valued contribution to helping make this celebration extra special.

We are grateful for everything our support staff do to help our students, staff and families thrive. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Saving Endangered Animals in 4A!

Our Year 4 students have been busy becoming wildlife experts this term! As part of their learning, 4A has created engaging digital information reports about endangered animals from around the world. Students researched fascinating facts about their chosen animal's classification, habitat, and diet, while also investigating the important question: Why are/were these animals endangered? Most importantly, they explored ways that people can help protect these incredible creatures and support their survival for future generations. We are so proud of the curiosity, creativity, and care our students have shown as they learned about conservation and the role we can all play in protecting our planet.

This morning, some of our Student Leaders attended a Leadership Breakfast hosted by Sandgate District State High School.

As part of the session, students completed a personality survey based on the Myers-Briggs framework, helping them to learn more about their individual strengths, preferences and leadership styles. It was a valuable opportunity for our students to reflect on how different personalities contribute to effective teamwork and leadership.

Thank you to Sandgate District State High School for providing this engaging learning experience for our student leaders. We look forward to seeing them apply their new insights back at school!

Have you heard??? It’s National Chaplaincy Week!! To celebrate our very own Chappy Troy we are raising money for Art Supplies and resources for Term 3. The more money we raise - the more teachers get slimed! If we raise $1500 our very own Principal Mrs Blake will be slimed at Week 10 Assembly! We will be collecting money daily at the office.

What a fantastic week celebrating the joy of reading!

Students enjoyed this year's National Simultaneous Storytime story, Luna Roo, with our local librarians helping bring the story to life. Our Year 1 students also made the most of the beautiful weather, heading outdoors to soak up the sunshine and enjoy reading in nature.

One of the highlights of the week was our Year 6 students joining Year 1 for buddy reading. It was wonderful to see our school leaders sharing their love of reading while building connections with their younger peers πŸ“–πŸ’›
