Our final lunchtime concert played out under beautiful sunny skies today, with our Music students confidently taking the stage and giving the Seton community something to enjoy over lunch.
A big thank you to Mr Mangan and our Peripatetic Tutors for preparing and encouraging our students to perform with such confidence, and to our Music students for bringing the music!
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed having live music as part of our lunchtimes. Can we make this an every-lunch-time thing, please?
A big thank you to Year 12 ATAR Media student Veronika for photographing the event - brilliant work once again!

Another title for our Junior Boys Division 1 Basketball team!
The boys have done it again, taking out their second day-carnival championship of the year!
They won every game convincingly before finishing the day with a 15-point win in the final. The victory also secures their place at the WA All Schools Finals in early September.
Two carnivals, two titles. A pretty impressive record!
Well done to the team and Mr Forlano! We'll be holding our breath in September!

Our Year 10 Design students are taking their ideas from 2D concepts to handcrafted stained glass prototypes, drawing inspiration from the College’s six Houses and Catholic values.
Throughout the process, students are learning to think like designers by developing concepts, solving problems, refining ideas and building practical skills as they cut, grind, assemble and solder each piece.
It’s a hands-on project that brings creativity, craftsmanship and problem-solving together, while building confidence with specialist tools, materials and processes connected to future pathways in design, engineering, trade industries and beyond.
We can’t wait to see the finished pieces on display at the Brother Francis Exhibition next term!

Months of creativity, leadership and dedication were on display when our Elite Dance Company performed at School to Stage alongside more than 1,500 students from schools across Perth.
What makes these performances even more impressive is that our Year 12 Certificate IV in Dance students do it all. They choreograph themed routines, run auditions, teach and rehearse their troupes, and perform alongside them—leading every step of the journey.
A special congratulations to Summer, whose troupe placed second in the Year 12 Large Group Choreography category—an outstanding achievement against strong competition.
Sophie (Year 11) reflected on the experience, saying: “Being on stage, in costume and makeup gave us another opportunity to do what we love and we enjoyed the night as we grew closer as a team. This was an opportunity we will be able to use in the future in our lives. We even had the privilege of our tap routine getting 2nd place!”
Congratulations to all of our Year 12 choreographers on building three outstanding troupes and showcasing not only their talent, but their leadership. A huge thank you also to our incredible Dance teachers, whose passion and guidance continue to inspire our dancers to achieve their very best.

When it comes to understanding eclipses, there's no substitute for seeing them in action.
Our Year 7 Science students took a hands-on approach to exploring the Earth, Moon and Sun by building their own models and using a light source to investigate how solar and lunar eclipses occur. As they experimented with different positions and angles, students could see for themselves why eclipses happen and how the alignment of these three objects creates these fascinating natural events.
It's one thing to read about science - it's another to bring it to life through exploration, experimentation and discovery. Well done Year 7s!
