Have you heard the news? Our centre is getting renovated! It's always amazing to see the difference a couple of weeks can make when undertaking a refresh on a well-loved building. Our renovations will progress across the centre over the coming weeks and at the end we will have a full transformed space, with a new kitchen and facilities for our children and staff to enjoy.

Here's a few BTS progress shots from demo to done to take a peek at! Let us know what you think of the transformation.

We’re proud to be ongoing partners of The Nappy Collective
Their annual campaign is underway this month - Clean Bums for Little Ones - with a goal is to raise $100,000 and collect 500,000 nappies. If you have any disposable nappies that your little one has grown out of, please drop them into the donation box at our centre. The Nappy Collective accept clean, unused single and packs of nappies of any sizes. Local babies and families would truly appreciate your support 🩷

There is a special kind of magic when children are encouraged to play in the rain ☔ Puddles become places for discovery, raindrops spark curiosity, and the outdoors transforms into an exciting world of adventure. Rain play encourages imagination, problem-solving, and confidence as children explore the environment in new and exciting ways.

These experiences support EYLF Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, as children develop a relationship with the natural environment and learn through hands-on exploration. Outdoor play in all weather also supports wellbeing and resilience, helping children learn to adapt, take safe risks, and try new experiences.

Sometimes the best learning happens in the simplest moments — splashing, exploring, laughing, and enjoying the feeling of rain while learning through play 🌧️

Take a look at our Bush Kindy experience, where nature becomes the classroom! Climbing logs, searching for tiny insects, building with sticks, and navigating the natural environment all support curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving in authentic ways. 🌿🐞

Bush Kindy experiences connect closely with EYLF Outcome 2 – Children are connected with and contribute to their world, as children develop respect for the natural environment and a sense of belonging within it. These outdoor adventures also support Outcome 3 – Children have a strong sense of wellbeing, as children build physical strength, resilience, and confidence through active exploration. 🪵🌏

Through regular time in nature, Samford Pines children are encouraged to take safe risks, collaborate with peers, and discover the many possibilities the outdoors provides.

Ask R U OK? Any Day (explainer) 12/09/2025

We're advocates for asking R U OK? Any Day 💛

Yesterday as an annual day provides a reminder that a simple question can change a life, however we intentionally encourage ongoing check-ins for our team, our families and our community, any day.

Whilst sharing conversations across cupcakes and morning tea is a great way to build connection, and show kindness and support for one another - asking the question is important at any minute of any day of the year, and listening is what is vital 💫

Ask R U OK? Any Day (explainer) Regular, meaningful conversations with the people close to you can help prevent small things from becoming big things. By checking in regularly, you build trust…

Last Thursday our first group of little explorers participated in our Bush Kindy program! 🍃

Bush Kindy is an early childhood education program that is run outdoors, in natural environments. Based on the belief that nature is a rich and valuable learning environment, children engage in child-led play on our centre grounds.

In this environment, children will be taught how to assess and manage risks themselves in age-appropriate ways, while free to explore. From climbing trees and rocks, exploring the creek, making mud pies or humpies (Indigenous Australian shelter), collecting tadpoles or bugs, there's so much to do!

Different children will be invited to come for a Bush Kindy session each day (currently only Thursday and Friday), with each Bush Kindy session will be different as we extend on children’s ideas, observations and play.
