Maffra Gymnastic Club are running September/October School Holidays Come and Play sessions.
• Monday 28th September 9:15-10:15am (18 months - 7 years)
• Monday 28th September 10:30-11:30am (6 years - Adults)
• Tuesday 29th September 9:15-10:15am (18 months - 7 years)
• Tuesday 29th September 10:30-11:30am (18 months - 7 years)
• Wednesday 30th September 9:15-10:15am (18mths - 7 years)
• Wednesday 30th September 10:30-11:30am (18mths - 7 years)
• Thursday 1st October 9:15-10:15am (18mths - 7 years)

🌿 Discover Gumnuts Early Learning Centre 🌿

At Gumnuts, we provide nurturing, play-based learning experiences for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age, supporting them through every stage of their early learning journey.

Our rooms are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of each age group, providing welcoming spaces where children can explore, learn, build confidence and develop meaningful relationships.

And there’s plenty of room to explore outside too! Our large outdoor spaces give children the freedom to run, play, discover and connect with nature — encouraging active play, imagination and learning in the fresh air. 🌱

From our youngest learners through to our kindergarten children, we’re proud to provide an environment where children can feel safe, supported and excited to learn each day. 💚

Celebrating National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's
Day -
Yesterday at Gumnuts ELC, we proudly celebrated Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day with this year's 2026 theme, "Sharing Our Truth."
This year's theme encourages us to listen to and value children's voices through culture, identity, and the stories that are most meaningful to them as individuals.
Across the centre, children shared their own stories in many different ways. In the Kinder spaces, children expressed themselves through drawing and painting their personal stories. In the Emus room, educators and children came together to read and explore stories that celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. In the Koalas room, children enjoyed cooking experiences using natural ingredients, connecting with Country through sensory exploration and learning.
Today was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate culture, honour children's voices, and recognise the importance of every child's story.
We wish all our Koorie children and families a very happy Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day.

In the Emus room at group time we did the acknowledge of country, the children copied the words and actions. We also read 2 dream time books; Tiddalick the frog, and The Rainbow Serpent. We listened to ‘I am Australian’ and we encouraged children to sing along.

Nature Kinder is back for Term 3, and our Pre-Prep children have been making the most of every outdoor adventure! 🌿

From climbing, balancing and hanging to throwing and exploring, each experience helps strengthen gross motor skills, build coordination and support important brain development.

With these crisp winter mornings, there's plenty of movement (and plenty of layers!) to keep everyone warm while learning through play. 💚
