Journey Early Learning Sale

Today our 3–5 Kinder educators are participating in the “Connect With Me” workshop presented by the Social and Emotional Learning Foundation, facilitated by Seona.

The workshop explores the SELF Learning Framework and takes a deeper dive into the practices and developmental domains that make up the framework, supporting educators to strengthen children’s social and emotional wellbeing through meaningful connections and learning experiences.

We are proud to continue building our knowledge and practice to support the best outcomes for our children. 🌱✨

Today we proudly wore yellow to support Children’s Ground and raise awareness for the importance of culture, community, and brighter futures for children. 💛

Our educators and children enjoyed getting involved in the day, showing their support by wearing yellow and participating in meaningful conversations and activities together.

Our amazing Assistant Centre Manager here at Journey! 🌟

Bek plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the centre and working alongside our leadership team to ensure everything flows smoothly for children, families, and educators.

Bek is deeply passionate about team culture, and is always looking for ways to support, uplift, and bring our team together. Her focus on connection and collaboration helps create a positive and supportive environment for everyone at Journey 💛

Today’s excursion to Bunnings Warehouse Australia was a huge success 🌱🛠️

We met the legendary Bunnings crew at Sale, got a behind-the-scenes look at what they do best, and somehow managed to leave without buying the entire gardening section 😅

The highlight? Our seedling project! Everyone got their hands dirty planting little future masterpieces to bring back to the centre. Now begins the important job of being responsible to water them and not love them *too much* 🌼😂

A big thank you to the Bunnings team for making the day so fun, welcoming, and full of learning. We came for an excursion and left as part-time gardeners 🌿💚

👋 Meet the Educator – Bonnie 👋

Say hello to Bonnie, one of our wonderful support educators here at Journey! 💛

Bonnie works across the centre, supporting all of our rooms and building lovely connections with children and educators alike. She is currently studying her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, and we love seeing her grow in her role each day.

Bonnie brings so much passion and excitement into the environment, especially when it comes to creating engaging and inviting play spaces for children to explore and enjoy.

Last week we farewelled one of our wonderful educators, Elli. 💛

Elli is taking her Journey interstate to begin an exciting new chapter and fresh start.

We are so grateful for the care, laughter, support and connections she brought to our children, families and team during her time with us. She will be greatly missed around the centre!

Please join us in wishing Elli all the very best for her next adventure — once part of the Journey family, always part of the Journey family. ✨

This afternoon during our community walk to Sale Community Gardens Aged Care, our children were gifted a beautiful piece of artwork created by one of the residents.

Moments like these truly highlight the special relationships and connections being built between our children and the residents through our regular visits. Watching these bonds grow through conversations, shared experiences, smiles and thoughtful gestures has been so meaningful for everyone involved.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, warmth and sense of community that continues to be shared with us each visit. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly into your space — we cherish these connections and the memories being created together. 💛
