Dear Parents & Kids,

We are excited to present Headstart SZN 4: The Handyman Project! This season, we’re equipping the boys with real-life skills that will make their everyday lives easier—and turn them into confident, capable young men.

Our goal is simple: to help these boys become responsible, hardworking, and resourceful—skills that will not only serve them now but also shape them into great future husbands, fathers, and leaders. Through this course, they’ll develop responsibility by taking on tasks, build patience and perseverance through problem-solving, and gain confidence knowing they can handle things themselves instead of relying on others.

🔧 What They’ll Learn:
✔️ Automotive basics – Keeping their car in top shape
✔️ Home repairs – Fixing things before they become big problems
✔️ Carpentry & Plumbing – Essential DIY skills
✔️ Electrical basics – Staying safe and handy
✔️ Personal care & maintenance – Because self-care matters
✔️ Cooking – No more relying on takeout!

By the end of the course, they’ll be more independent, skilled, and ready to take on life’s challenges. We can’t wait to get started!

Dear Parents,

Nairana and Mirrabooka is partnering with Event Cinemas to host a preview screening of *The Chosen: The Last Supper* for students and their families.

*When:* This Monday April 7 at 6pm

*Where*: Event Cinemas, Castle Towers

*Why*:
- We are aiming to raise $20,000 for a group of high-school students to build two houses for families in Vietnam’s south.
- ⁠An evening out with the family
- ⁠Prepare for Easter

*Who*: Bring your families! We are renting out a private room that can hold up to 90 people. We will cap registrations at 90.
Cost: $25 per person
- Event Cinemas is also offering a $10 offer of mini-popcorn and a small Mount Franklin water

*1) Mirrabooka Book Club*: This year, some of us want to dedicate more time to reading and with this in mind we would like to invite anyone who might be interested in join the WhatsApp group. The idea is, we read one book a month and we meet to have a few drinks and discuss the book. We will discuss day and times in the group. Today is the last session of Exploring the Truth! We definitely had a lot of fun talking through touching, controversial and real life topics that have all helped us in a positive way. This year was also full of great pub runs, tennis matches, run club stuff, bouldering and overall awesome vibes! We can’t wait to provide the young professionals with more awesome talks next year…and maybe more acai 😎. This season, we’re challenging you to “harmonise your creativity” with an exciting twist. We’re bringing in five industry experts from film and music to help you sharpen your skills and stay ahead of the game.
