Do YOU love learning?
Do you model this love of learning for your child?
What do you do if you don’t know something?

Model to your child what someone who loves learning might do! It’s actually not answering the questions that matters more than the modelling of learning and curiosity.

“Yay! I’ve never been to this new place before. Can you please help me look up on the map how to get there? I love new adventures!”

“I’m curious because I’ve never seen that insect before, have you? Maybe we could look it up together?”

“No, I don’t know if baby worms cry when they are born like humans do, what a great question! Should we do some research?” (I genuinely got asked that today!🥹)

If as parents we model a love of learning, our children become curious alongside us. They see that asking questions is powerful, that it’s okay to not know something but that there are ways of finding out…
This is how children love to learn.

As an experienced Montessori guide and child-led learning advisor, I have so many more hands-on ways of encouraging meaningful learning in your home and I’m passionate about the prepared adult being such a vital role in the child’s development!
