It’s been a huge few weeks of SCS Sport, with Conference Finals and Gala Days taking centre stage as we approach the end of another outstanding sporting season for Holy Cross College.

🥇 Junior Hockey – GOLD & SCS Champions
🥈 Senior Baseball – SILVER
🥈 Junior AFL – SILVER
🥇 All Abilities 7-a-Side Football – GOLD

A special congratulations to our All Abilities 7-a-Side Football team, who claimed GOLD today after a stellar season representing the College with tremendous pride and enthusiasm!

Next week, our Intermediate AFL, Junior A Rugby 7s and Intermediate A Rugby 7s teams will join our All Abilities Football team in representing Holy Cross as we bring the curtain down on SCS Sport for Season 2026.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Noah Roumanos, who has been recognised with the prestigious Archbishop’s Award for Student Excellence.

Established in 1999, the awards recognise one outstanding student from each Catholic secondary school in the Archdiocese of Sydney, celebrating young people who demonstrate excellence, leadership and a strong commitment to their school and faith communities.

Being selected to represent Holy Cross College Ryde is a wonderful achievement and a fitting recognition of Noah’s contribution throughout his time at the College.

Honouring the strong role models who guide, inspire, and walk alongside our young men every single day. 💙

Last week, our Holy Cross College community gathered on campus for our annual Father’s Day Mass and celebratory BBQ breakfast. From raw timber to beautifully crafted finished pieces! 🪵✨

Our Year 7 Technology students have officially wrapped up their serving board unit. For many of our boys, this project marked their very first experience working inside the College workshop.

Through hands-on design, timber selection, sanding, and finishing, students built foundational practical skills while prioritizing workshop safety and precision.

🏆 JUNIOR A SCS HOCKEY CHAMPIONS! 🏑💛❤️

What an outstanding day from our Junior A Hockey team, who produced a truly dominant performance at the SCS Championships!

The boys played six games and didn’t concede a single goal all day — an incredible defensive effort from start to finish.

They saved their best for the Grand Final, producing a stunning 9–0 shutout of Marist Eastwood to be crowned SCS Junior A Hockey Champions! 🥇🏆

6 games. 6 clean sheets. SCS Champions. 🔥

Last week, our Holy Cross College community came together in prayer and celebration to formally induct our Student Leaders for 2026/27.

Rooted in our core pillar of Leadership, these young men have pledged to serve our College with integrity, humility, and dedication. 🏆 Annual Sports & Co-Curricular Evening 2026 🏆

Last night, Holy Cross College celebrated all things Sport and Co-Curricular from an outstanding 2026 season.

We were delighted to welcome special guest Jesse Sene-Lafeo from the Walk Your Talk Foundation, alongside two proud Holy Cross Old Boys who are now professional athletes — Sebastian Krslovic in football and JK Rauqe in rugby league.

It was a fantastic occasion recognising the commitment, achievements and College spirit shown by our young men throughout the year.
