Hello chaps (1971-76),
You may not realize but it’s 50 years since we escaped HCC at Ryde later this year. A few of us are planning a get together at Ryde Eastwood Leagues on Saturday October 24th this year to mark this. Around 120 of us made the journey from entering Boromeo in 1968 to finally leaving in November 1976. We last met at Balmain Leagues in 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary. It was a great night with somewhere between 70 and 80 attending, including a number of teachers and brothers that it was also great to connect with after so long. The club was demolished not long after.
The committee (Joe, Chris Maher, Peter Byrne, Vince Cussumano, Paul Lewis and myself) is working towards building an up-to-date list of ex-students who left the school between 1974 and1976. Right now, we have around 40 email addresses or phone numbers for students and ex-teachers. This is now a bit more challenging as many of our parents (who we used to connect 20 years ago) have now passed or some of you have moved/retired. We would really welcome your help to round up a few more names and contact details. I have attached a list of who we are missing. A few have passed away sadly. If you know contact details for any of these people, can you please let them know that something is happening and also forward the contact details you have to Michael (Joe ) cced on this email by May 21st ([email protected]) so we can put together the official invitation and work towards confirming numbers.
Looking forward to hearing from you all and seeing you soon. We hope you can make it, more details to follow in a month or so.

Holy Cross College: Then and Now
What a difference 100 years can make.
The sandstone edifice, once a proud beacon of the Patrician Brothers and a thriving boarding school, now stands alongside a modern, diverse, and distinctly Catholic community.
For 135 years, Holy Cross College has faithfully served the Ryde community, evolving with the times while staying true to its rich heritage.
Known as the “Eye of Ryde,” it continues to sit proudly atop the hill—watching over generations past, present, and those still to come.
