From supporting students in classrooms, assisting families, maintaining our facilities, managing the front office, preparing resources and solving countless problems behind the scenes, their work often goes unnoticed but is always appreciated. Our vibrant, inclusive community is showcased through Grandparents Day, outstanding musical and drama performances, sporting competitions, and student leadership initiatives like The RSC Times, the annual Fashion Show, RSC Creative, Primary School Workshops, and Sporting Excellence Programs, including the recent Volleyball and Ski trips.

HSC Geography students recently completed a field trip to Taronga Park Zoo investigating tourism and global sustainability. Students enjoyed learning about how the Zoo is incorporating sustainability into its business model. Students were impressed with the high level of innovation and commitment demonstrated through programs such as the Corroboree Frog breeding initiative and the Sustainable Palm Oil exhibit linked to combat Deforestation in Indonesia. Students gathered valuable knowledge and insights for their Trial and HSC examinations.

Year 11 Geography students went to Marrickville conducting field work activities investigating the culture of place in the suburb. Students used a number of field work tools such as interviewing local residents and recording noise pollution to assess the liveability of the suburb. The highlight of the day was eating lunch at the local Vietnamese restaurants with Banh Mi being voted the most popular choice of food.

Our school has an Inspire - High Potential and Gifted Education class in each year providing educational opportunities that enrich and extend students through differentiated teaching and learning.

This class is only open to students who reside within the school's catchment zone or local enrolment area, and are Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens.

Applications are now open for early entry in the Year 7 class of 2027. Applications require students to participate in an assessment on Thursday 30 July 2026 from 8:30am to 12:20pm at Ryde Secondary College.

The NSW Department of Education’s Journal of Science Extension Research is an esteemed platform that supports the development and enrichment of Science education in schools throughout New South Wales. We are proud to announce that students from Ryde Secondary College have had their research published in this respected journal, showcasing the excellence and influence of their scientific work. This accomplishment highlights both the students’ dedication to scientific exploration and the school’s commitment to providing advanced learning opportunities in Science. Congratulations to HSC students of 2025: Bret Baltazar, Jade Lin, Jacob Stefas, and H**e Ye. A special thank you must also go to Ms April Barry and the Science faculty for their outstanding support of student excellence in Science.

Congratulations to Noa, Layla, Mackenzie, Tilly, Kaylee and Cara on their outstanding achievement in winning the gold medal at the Penrith Regional Championships in Futsal. This well-deserved result is a testament to their talent, hard work and dedication, and they should be incredibly proud of representing the RSC community with such excellence. Noa was awarded Player of the Tournament with an incredible haul of 22 goals over 7 games. The team will head to the State Titles in late August. We wish them the best of luck!
