An evening of learning, reflection… and Banh Mi! 🥖🎶
This week, our team came together for a Professional Development evening exploring Disclosures and Lived Experience in Therapeutic Practice.
Led by our Registered Music Therapists Winnie Choy and Lucy Morgan, the session invited us to reflect on how our own experiences and identities can naturally shape the way we connect with clients and families — and to consider when sharing aspects of our lived experience may be helpful, and when professional boundaries need to come first.
It was a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and have some thoughtful conversations about the complexity of bringing our whole selves into therapeutic practice.
And of course, no team evening is complete without food! We enjoyed some of the famous Banh Mi from Top Ryde Baker's House before getting started. 🥖
We were apparently far too eager to eat them because… we completely forgot to take a photo! 😂
A big thank you to Winnie and Lucy for leading such a thoughtful and engaging session — and to Top Ryde Baker's House for keeping our team well fed!
