A big welcome to our newest apprentice recruits! ⚡

It was great to have this group complete their induction and officially join the Electrogroup team as they begin and for some continue their electrical apprenticeship journey.

Completing an apprenticeship is a big step, and we’re excited to support them as they learn the trade, build their skills, gain real on-site experience and take the first steps towards a great career in the electrical industry.

We’re looking forward to seeing what they achieve over the coming years. 👏

A very worthwhile session with Youthsafe NSW

It was great to spend Compliance, Safety and Wellbeing Week with electrogroup apprentices across five road safety sessions.

The conversations focused on real-world decisions:
- getting home safely
- fatigue
- licence loss
- speaking up
&
- how the standards we practise outside work follow us into work.

Thank you to ElectroGroup and the apprentices for such honest and thoughtful participation.

Feedback from ElectroGroup described the sessions as..
"well received and very useful" "practical and well presented."

Vale James "Jimmy Mac" Macfadyen
It is with great sadness that Electrogroup acknowledges the passing of James “Jimmy Mac” Macfadyen, a respected figure whose vision, commitment and leadership played a significant role in the founding and development of Electrogroup.
Jimmy's contribution helped shape the organisation we are today. His passion for supporting apprentices, strengthening the electrical industry, and creating opportunities for future generations has left a lasting legacy that continues to be reflected in the work we do every day.
On behalf of the Electrogroup Board, staff, apprentices, host employers and the broader Electrogroup community, we extend our sincere condolences to the Macfadyen family and all who had the privilege of knowing Jimmy.
We are grateful for the foundations he helped build and the positive impact he had on so many people throughout his life.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your legacy lives on through the thousands of apprentices and industry professionals whose lives have been touched by the organisation you helped create. For those who knew the funeral and wake details are attached and are welcome to attend.
