We are very proud of the achievements of our students in phonics! Rydalmere Public School has been identified as one of the most improved public schools in the state, with consistent improvements in Phonics Screening Check results since 2022.

Join us for a wonderful day of learning, reading and celebration at Rydalmere Public School as we celebrate Education Week, our Book Parade, Book Fair and Bake Sale tomorrow 5th August.

Schedule:
10:00 am – 10:30 am: Education Week Open Day – Visit your child's classroom (Kindergarten to Year 6) and see their learning in action.

10:30 am – 11:00 am: Book Parade – Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book character. The parade will begin with a performance by the Rydalmere Public School Choir.

11:00 am – 11:30 am: Following the Book Parade: Year 6 Bake Sale on the top court near the office, with delicious treats available from $2. Card and cash payments available.

Book Fair – Visit the computer room during recess to browse and purchase a great selection of books. Card and cash payments available.

We look forward to celebrating Education Week with our school community.

🚌 We are on our way back from Canberra Camp 2026!

What an amazing camp we have had! Our students have created so many wonderful memories, experienced new adventures and enjoyed every moment along the way.

We are so proud of the way our students represented our school throughout the entire camp. They consistently demonstrated our school values by being safe, respectful learners.

A huge thank you to our students for making this camp so special and to our teachers for providing such an incredible experience. We hope our students have had the best time and will remember these moments for years to come! 🌟

Our students loved exploring the interactive exhibits and hands-on activities. They also got to experience the Earthquake House and took on the famous 6.4-metre Giant Slide 🛝A definite highlight of the day! 😄

Canberra Camp Update

🏅 Australian Institute of Sport 🇦🇺

What an incredible experience for our Canberra campers! Last night, our students were lucky enough to enjoy a private after-hours tour of the Australian Institute of Sport.

A highlight of the evening was Sportex, where students had so much fun testing their skills, challenging themselves, and taking part in a range of interactive sporting activities.

Students also explored the world-class facilities where many of Australia’s elite athletes have trained on their journey to national and international success. They even had the opportunity to watch some of the Australian Volleyball Academy athletes during a training session, giving them a firsthand look at the dedication, teamwork and commitment required to compete at the highest level.
