As part of their Unit of Inquiry, Sharing the Planet, Middle School students went on an excursion to a Sustainability Education Centre in Cheltenham.
They discovered the 5Rs of the circular economy: rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle. Students also learned about the importance of composting, how to sort their rubbish into the correct bins, and how long it takes the waste we create to break down 🗑️♻️🌎

Our library has been transformed into a warm, welcoming and inviting environment that is both functional and appealing. It has been fantastic to see our students already embracing the new space, enjoying its fresh look and making the most of this wonderful addition to our school. Thank you Michelle, Kerryn, Fi and Melody, we are so grateful for your hard work and dedication in creating such a positive learning environment for everyone.

🏉💙 Senior Girls AFLW Gala Day 💙🏉
This week, some of our Senior Girls represented our school at the Knox AFLW Gala Day. The girls had a fantastic day, showing great determination, teamwork and, above all, wonderful sportsmanship throughout all of their matches.
A special thank you to Adam Calderbank for coaching and supporting the girls throughout the day. We greatly appreciate your time and support! 🙌🏉

🏀🏆 Hoop Time Success! 🏆🏀
This week, 60 of our Senior School students competed in a Hoop Time tournament at Dandenong Stadium. Congratulations to all of our Rookie and Future Stars teams who had a fantastic day filled with friendly competition, fun and success!
A huge congratulations to our Future Stars Girls team, who finished as runners-up after a very close final. 👏
Our Future Stars Boys team, The Pacers, had an incredible day, winning all of their matches convincingly and being crowned champions of the day! 🏆🎉
We wish the boys all the very best as they progress to the Hoop Time Regional Final later this year. 🏀
A huge thank you to all our wonderful parent coaches, scorers, teachers and Mrs Ryan for your incredible support and assistance throughout the day. We wouldn't have been able to send so many teams without your time, enthusiasm and generosity. Thank you for helping make the day such a success!👏💙

Scout and Haddie are back at HPPS as part of the Unconditional Love Foundation program 🐕‍🦺🐾 Students have been enjoying “pat and chat” sessions throughout the school, and some children are fortunate to spend extra time working alongside these wonderful wellbeing dogs. Their visits bring smiles, calm moments, and plenty of joy to our school community 🐶🙂
