Dear Playgroup Current & Future Members,

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding in what has been an unpredictable year for us and I’m sure one we look forward to seeing the back of soon.

Knox City Council has advised us that it has postponed the return of community playgroups in their facilities until 2021. This includes both indoor and outdoor spaces in these facilities.

This decision will help mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and keep our facilities as safe as possible for children, families, staff and the community.

Some resources and information will become available soon to support any playgroups that wish to recommence in public outdoor spaces when restrictions ease.

For now stay safe, keep your kids as busy as possible and enjoy the warmer weather ( when we get some!)

COVID-19 Update

In line with the Victorian Government’s Stay at Home restrictions, I write to advise that council facilities will remain closed for playgroup activities, including committee meetings, until further notice.
This decision has been taken in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community and comply with Victorian Government directions to stay at home unless undertaking essential activities. We appreciate the COVID-19 situation is causing significant impacts for community organisations and groups. We are continually monitoring the advice of the Department of Health and Human Services and the impact on council services and facilities, and we will notify you as soon as there is any change.

Just a update from Knox council regarding playgroup. At this stage we still don’t have any idea about a return date. We will keep you updated when we know more information. We hope everyone is keeping safe.

Dear all families of Liberty Avenue as of today 17th March Playgroup will be cancelled for the remaining term and we will be waiting for Playgroup Vic to let us know when we will be allowed to return in term 2, I will keep you all updated. Thank you for everyone’s cooperation and understanding in this time.

Our new natural wood indoor overhaul is complete !! Over $12,000 was spent on this project this year including our Bunnings bbq fundraiser, Bendigo bank grant and Community Development fund grant!
With new tables and chairs, more home corner play additions, a duplo storage table, group cube organiser, shelving, cupboards, easels.... we have it all completed just in time for end of the year handover.
A massive huge big Thankyou to Liberty Ave Playgroup President of 2019 Alycia Bruce who is the unsung hero here and who is largely solely responsible for doing the paperwork and submitting the grant applications, ordering the furniture and new play equipment, coordinating delivery and setting it all up, flat packs and all!
Liberty Ave Playgroup families.... you have been blessed with a wonderful president this year who volunteered her times to make all this possible for the community families to enjoy for years to come!

Have you ever seen such a well stocked kitchen? We Have a range of international cuisine sets... Japanese, Mexican, Italian, breads, ice cream, cakes and fruit and vegetables. The kids love playing shop and buying food and paying at the cash register and coming home to cook it in the kitchen and finish with a picnic on the little table and chairs
