What a wonderful start to the year we have had at Liberty Avenue Kindergarten! Term 1 was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Easter raffle and made donations, and to those who generously gave their time to help out with our working bee. Liberty Avenue Kindergarten in Rowville is seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to join our friendly team in 2026!

About Us:
We’re a community-run, not-for-profit kindergarten offering 3- and 4-year-old funded sessional programs for nearly 30 years.

Role: Diploma Qualified Educator (Temporary Part-Time)

Days: Wednesday & Friday + 3 hrs non-contact time every second Thursday

Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm (Wed/Fri), 9:00am–12:00pm (fortnightly Thurs)

We are looking for a motivated educator with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised), strong teamwork skills, and a passion for quality early learning.

Last Friday, we were thrilled to welcome staff from across Knox to Liberty Kindergarten for an Information Sharing Session focused on how we use visual supports to help our children thrive every day.

Together, we explored how visuals can support:
- Emotional regulation
- Positive behaviour expectations
- Separation anxiety during transitions

Led by our 4 year old teacher, Bianca Bartlett, it was a fantastic opportunity to come together, share our practices, and strengthen our collective understanding of how visual strategies can empower children to feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us — your enthusiasm and openness to learning make such a difference for the children and families we support!
