Tutoring lessons in a fun environment. Making difficult concepts easy! Focus on exam style learning. I have been tutoring VCE Chemistry since 2009.

I have helped multiple students achieve 50 in their VCE exams. My students are from many different schools including - John Monash Science School, Elizabeth Blackburn Science School, Melbourne High, Nossal High School, Glen Waverley SS. My passion is teaching and I endeavour to make my lessons entertaining. I have a very good way of making difficult concepts seem easy. Professionally I am an optom

etrist by day. I am also a clinical skills tutor at Deakin University since 2015. Teaching in a tertiary education setting has taught me that students have different ways of learning. Therefore, it is part of my goal to tailor my lessons to my students. I give students lots of opportunity to asks questions. I believe that the more students ask, the more they learn!

Happy New Year!

As we close the chapter on what has been a challenging 2021, we now look ahead to the surprises 2022 has in store! It's still a few weeks away to the start of the school semester, but what better time to plan and organise the various activities for the year!

I am so excited to achieve this award in recognition of high quality teaching (by UK standards)! I've been tutoring VCE since 2009 and in university since 2016. Through this process, I have found that active learning where students are involved and given a chance to interact during their lesson, is by far much more successful than a teacher lecturing up front. As such, my lessons are designed to give students every opportunity to ask questions. I also constantly challenge my students with difficult questions broaden their thinking and deepen their understanding. 2 weeks to VCE Exams... It is a time that I take to reflect on the past year and cherish all the fun times we have had. Eventhough classes had to move online for half the year, we still managed to have fun along the way. My philosophy has always been to work hard but to enjoy the journey. I provide students with difficult exam style questions from day 1 and we work together to solve the problem.

As I say "Goodbye" to all my lovely year 12s, I look forward to the challenges that the next cohort will provide. My year 11 students are just about to begin next year's syllabus! Is it too early? Well, there are year 11 topics that are repeated in year 12. So why not start early?

Look at the newly renovated room!! During covid, unfortunately like most Melbournians, my husband and I were bored at home during lockdown. So, we decided to paint the tutoring room and wall mount a TV! This means that even though lessons are back to face-to-face, students will get the best of both worlds with the incorporation of technology into our learning! First lesson back today was great fun! 😄

I provide lots of questions to help prepare you for VCE exams. With lots of opportunities to asks questions and lessons tailored to your level, there is no reason why you cannot EXCEL at chemistry! I have 11 years of experience teaching chemistry and have helped multiple students achieve 50 in VCE. Lessons are available online or face-to-face. Lessons start this week for a headstart to the year!

A holiday is well deserved after a long year of hard work. But even on holiday, chemistry is always on my mind! Someone once said to me that work is not really work when you're having fun! 2020 lesson prep is in full swing and classes have already begun! It's not too early or too late to begin!
