Mueller Early Learning Centre Situated on the Mueller College campus we cater for children from 6 weeks of age through to the Kindergarten year and operate Monday-Friday, 6.30am-6.00pm.

LOOK WHO’S BACK //
We were so excited to spot our friendly koala back in the trees in Nature Kindy. 🐨

Our little furry visitor has become a very special part of our local surroundings and we are all thrilled to see him/her back again. There’s something pretty special about having a koala so close to our Kindy for the children to observe and enjoy.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on our furry friend and hoping he/she might bring some other friends too.

VISIT FROM AN AUTHOR // Earlier this month, our Kindy and Pre-Kindy children enjoyed a very special visit from local author, Lee Phethean!
Lee shared some of his beautiful stories with the children, bringing them to life through fun, movement, and plenty of interaction. The children loved being part of the storytelling experience and were delighted to meet the creator behind the books.
We were also excited to hear about Lee's newest book, which will officially launch on 1 July.
A big thank you to Lee for spending time with our children and inspiring a love of books, imagination, and storytelling.

HANDS-ON LEARNING DAY // Today, Mueller College ELC joined services across Australia and New Zealand in celebrating Hands-On Learning Day!
At our service, hands-on learning happens every day through play, creativity, exploration, and real-life experiences. Whether children are painting, building, cooking, gardening, experimenting, or engaging in sensory play, they are developing important skills while having fun and making meaningful connections.
These play-based experiences support children to become confident and involved learners, building creativity, problem-solving, communication, independence, and social skills — all key parts of the EYLF 2.0.
A big part of this learning comes through intentional teaching, where educators support children’s thinking, curiosity, and discovery during play each day.
A few simple ways to continue hands-on learning at home:
• Cooking or baking together
• Sensory play with water, sand, rice, or playdough
• Building and creating with loose parts or recycled materials
• Exploring nature and gardening
• Drawing, painting, and creating
