Rosny College is a senior secondary college in Hobart, Tasmania and is an inspiring and empowering learning community. We maximise the diverse learning outcomes of our students by providing high-quality teaching in which you will be supported in developing and achieving your goals. We cater for all students who wish to continue their education; however, our prime target group is the students movin

g from Year 10 into Years 11 and 12 and we welcome them regardless of their ability. Rosny College offers to all students challenge, excitement and reward and allows you to develop new friendships. It can set you on your pathway to a future career or further education! The current principal of Rosny College is Andrew Woodham.

It’s been a fun couple of weeks celebrating Book Week this year. There were displays, screenings, games, trivia and of course our big dress up day complete with a Rosny Big Sing this Wednesday.

Thank you to Amy and the library team for working so hard to share your love of reading with us. Shout out also to Liv and the Student Association who ran the cafe and Rosny Spirit event on Wednesday.

🎭ROSNY OUT AND ABOUT🎭
This week our Drama, Theatre Performance and Technical Theatre students were invited by Hobart Rep to a preview of Shakespeare in Love at the Playhouse Theatre. Thank you so much for the opportunity to see the production, talk to the cast and explore the set after the show.

A special shout out to Rosny alumni Ben and Ava (featured on the poster), Rhys, Scott and Finn who are all part of this production.

Chookas to the cast and crew of Shakespeare and Love which runs at the Playhouse Theatre from tonight for 2 weeks. Get along if you can!

💜WEAR IT PURPLE DAY💜
We saw lots of purple around the college last Friday for Wear It Purple Day.
WIP Day is a national awareness day that celebrates and supports our LGBTIQA+ young people.
This day celebrates Rosny College as a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and welcome.
We had some fun with crafts, photo props and freebies at recess and lunch, and enjoyed delicious purple cake thanks to students and staff from our tourism class!

Over 400 students, 20 schools and 10 languages- that was last Friday at Rosny College!

The Eastern Shore schools got together to celebrate language learning and send the message that learning a languages is great for your brain, for yourself and for the world. Ask your school how you can start learning a language today!

Recess – Trivia in the Library: test your knowledge of music & literature; treats provided, prizes to be won!
Lunch – DRESS UP Party in Common Room: follow the Yellow-Brick Road for free snacks; prizes for best-dressed; scavenger hunt; Rosny Spirit Week activities and a special immersive musical performance!

The Cafe will be open this Wednesday lunch time - run by the Student Association who are raising money for the 2026 formal.
