A friendly reminder to collect your child's medication from Outside School Hours Care before the end of term!

FINAL REMINDER to collect your adrenaline devices from school! 🏫

Don’t forget to collect your child’s adrenaline (epinephrine) device (Anapen® or EpiPen®) from school on the last day of term. If your child attends a Children's Education and Care (CEC) service that takes a break at the end of the year it is important to also collect their adrenaline device on their last day. It’s best to have both devices with you over the holiday break as there is lots of socialising, many activities, travel for some and changes in usually safety routines. This makes the holiday period a time of increased risk.

⏰ Set a reminder on your phone to return it on day one when your child returns back to the CEC service or school.

Remember to check the expiry dates on the adrenaline devices. The expiry date can be found on the device and on the box. We encourage you to mark this date in your diary.

Remember: If your adrenaline device expires in January 2025, the expiry date is the 31st of January (not the beginning of January).

Outside School Hours Care educators

We are seeking expressions of interest to join us as casuals
We are looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic people to join us as Educators for our Outside School Hours Care service.

Our service is a not-for-profit organisation that caters for over 1000 primary school children per week. We offer Before and After school care and Vacation care within the grounds of 7 different primary schools within the Clarence municipality.

About casual Educator positions
We are looking for people from all walks and stages of life, with the strong ability to:

Create an interactive, warm and caring environment for children
Develop rapport with children (4 to 12 years)
Contribute to a quality program that will inspire children’s imagination and sense of learning and adventure
Be a positive role model, teach children through modelling and the demonstration of appropriate behaviour and language; and
Work well within a team
You must provide a National Police Check Certificate
You must provide a Working with Vulnerable People Registration card
What we offer you

Casual contract
Hourly rate: $32.25 (includes 25% loading)
Superannuation: 11.5%
Classified under the Local Government Industry Award [MA000112]
The positions are not for regularly scheduled shifts and staff will be called upon as needed for peak times. The shifts may be infrequent. However, this is a great chance to join the team and demonstrate your skills and experience in this industry within a growing organisation.

Hours of operation are:

Monday – Friday
Before School Care: 7:30 am – 9:00 am
After School Care: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Vacation Care: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
