In this Group we post important dates, special events and reminders relating to the P&F and the school community. However, the P & F has no authority in relation to the day to day operation or management of the school. All school communication is sent to Parents via Compass. Compass is the source of truth in relation to events and important notifications. Should parents have questions relating to
day to day operation of the school, please contact the school office and/or email at [email protected]. Any Parish news must be approved by Fr Sarkis at the Parish office. While we value everyoneβs contributions and encourage parents and carers to post in the group, it is expected that everyone will follow the CEDoW Social Media Policy and CEDoW Social Media Standards. In particular it is expected that each person will:
- respect the dignity of self and others;
- not bring the school into disrepute;
- not criticise the CEDOW, our school and the wider school community, or any staff member, parent or student;
- not promote perspectives contrary to the Catholic faith; and
- use the page for the purposes of the P & F and school matters only.
- do not use language that is defamatory, discriminatory, rude, aggressive, abusive, harassing, intimidating, threatening, insulting, hurtful, hateful, offensive, obscene or indecent
- do not post any student images without the written consent of the parent. Do not store photos of students on mobile phones. Parental consent to publish student images on social media sites is required at the start of each school year. Refer to CEDOW Childs Safety and Well-being page https://www.dow.catholic.edu.au/safety-and-wellbeing/
By posting or commenting on any official CEDOW social media sites β including Facebook group β users accept our social media standards. OLHC reserves the right to moderate all content, review or remove any comment it deems inappropriate, and/or block users who violate these standards.
