On the twenty-seventh of July, 2023, Ari Noviastuti, a Family Day Care early childhood educator, completed her studies with Nautilus Training and successfully achieved the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50121). Ari is a contracted early childhood educator for the City of Kingston.
City of Kingston Family Day Care is an early childhood education service, which is available to families who live or work in the municipality. The education and care service, which is provided in the homes of registered Family Day Care Educators, such as is the case with Ari, is available for children from birth to thirteen years of age, with a maximum of seven children being cared for in the educator's home at the same time, with a limit of four children of pre-school age.
Ari undertook her studies “on-the-job”, which means that, as well as working hard to provide education and care for children in her own home, she also undertook all her studies there. Judging from the quality of Ari’s written work and the evidence of her early childhood practice, the young children, who are cared for in Ari’s home, are very fortunate to be spending time in their early years, with Ari. A conscientious, competent and caring early childhood educator, Ari now has the qualification to prove that she has the required expertise.
From all of the team at Nautilus Training, congratulations, Ari, on your achievement. Thank you for choosing Nautilus Training to facilitate your professional learning and thank you to your Coordination team at the City of Kingston, especially Kylie, Kingston’s Family Day Care and Outside School Hours Educational Leader, for the support and encouragement so generously provided to you as you undertook your studies.
Very well done, Ari!

Kianne Wells, an early childhood educator at Aurrum Kids, Mornington, successfully completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, on the twenty-sixth of July 2022.

Aurrum Kids Childcare in Mornington, is seeking to instil in children a life-long love of learning, supports them to be confident, capable, and involved learners, by providing them with the time, space, respect, and responsibility to explore the materials and environment, develop skills of inquiry, problem-solve and research. The service regards children as unique individuals and its educators work alongside them in a safe, warm, stimulating environment that invites learning through play. Aurrum Kids’ approach is child-centred and focusses on children’s interests, challenging and motivating them to promote their learning and development.

According to trainer, Josie, Kianne adapts easily to any context across the early childhood age spectrum. She is as confident, competent, and caring with the young children, as she is with the pre-kinder, preparing them to the next phase which is kinder. She is well regarded by her colleagues. She interacts and engages equally well with children, family members and staff, and clearly demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm for both the work that she does and her own professional growth.

Kianne, congratulations on achieving your qualification. Thank you for choosing Nautilus Training to provide your training. Thanks, are also going out to your colleagues and workplace leadership for the support and encouragement so generously provided, as you undertook your studies.

On April fourth, 2022, Catrina Cotton, an early childhood educator at Westernport Child Care Hastings, on Marine Parade, successfully completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113).

Catrina’s workplace in Hastings is one of four early learning centres owned and operated by Westernport Child Care Centres and Kinders, with others in Cranbourne, Lang-Lang and Koo-Wee-Rup. Early childhood services are fundamentally places of learning, and they are not just places for young children’s learning - staff members are learners, too. This is a very advantageous situation, especially for the children, because, as every parent knows, youngsters love emulating what they see the adults doing. A child, who grows up surrounded by people who take their own learning seriously, is more likely to value their own learning and to take full advantage of it.

Catrina was trained and assessed by Nautilus Training’s trainer Kay, who enjoyed every minute she spent supporting her student’s learning. Kay says of Catrina, that she is a very confident, high-performing and diligent student, who relates very well to her workmates and to the children, for whom she provides education and care. She also has a special gift of being calm and relaxed in her approach to her work, which helps those around her feel the same way.

Catrina, congratulations on achieving your well-deserved qualification. If current indications are anything to go by, your success at achieving your next qualification, the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is almost a foregone conclusion, but having said that, we are positive that she will continue to put only her best foot forward.

Great work, Catrina, and a fantastic result. Well done!

Demi Russell has successfully completed her studies with Nautilus Training, and on the seventeenth of January, 2022, she was awarded with the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113).

Demi is an early childhood educator at Pooh Bear’s House, a privately-owned childcare centre, on Maroondah Highway, in Croydon North. Pooh Bear’s House prides itself on the quality of its early childhood education and care. It employs professional, highly trained early childhood educators, who respect the self-esteem and individuality of each child, and cater for the children’s interests, needs and abilities.

Through play-based learning experiences, the service ensures that children confidently explore, investigate and are curious about the world around them. The service’s philosophy is founded on the fact that families are the most important influence in a child’s life and it encourages parents to be actively involved in the centre, to contribute their ideas, and to take an interest in their child’s development and growth. Through this partnership, the service is able to achieve the highest level of quality education and care.

Demi’s pathway to her qualification was a blend of formal training and assessment and what is called ‘recognition of prior learning’ (RPL), a process that articulates industrial and professional experience into vocational competency. Kay was Demi’s trainer/assessor and is very impressed with Demi’s diligence, dedication and determination. The work Demi produced, in the training and assessment component of her program, was completed ahead of time, carefully researched and very competently written. The RPL component that Demi submitted was comprehensive and solidly supported by reliable and relevant evidence, that proved beyond any doubt that she fully deserved her Diploma.

Demi, Kay and the rest of the team at Nautilus Training celebrate and congratulate you wholeheartedly on your wonderful achievement. We wish you all the very best for your future in early childhood education and care. Thank you for choosing Nautilus Training to facilitate your qualification and thanks too, to your colleagues at Pooh Bear’s House for the support and encouragement they so generously provided, as you undertook your studies and your RPL candidature.

Very well done, Demi!

Dalvinder was a trainer’s dream: always asking questions, going the extra mile and really blossoming into a competent, confident and capable early childhood educator.
