The role of our educators is to plan a wide variety of experiences that will interest the children, develop and foster their skills and talents and extend each child to their full potential. Each child has their own personality, along with individual needs, strengths and interests. These are all considered when learning experiences are planned and implemented. A foundation that will be built upon during their education in the primary and secondary years. As research has discovered, young children learn best through play; through being active learners; through ‘doing’, interacting and experimenting – not through sitting, watching and listening. The pre school offers clean and modern facilities and equipment as well as a welcoming atmosphere to help in achieving these goals. It is overseen by an enthusiastic parent based Committee of Management who take responsibility for the organisation of the pre school. Parents are involved in the decision making and contribute to the running of the service. All monies raised through fees, fundraising and government subsidies are focused directly on improving facilities at the pre school and obtaining the best resources possible for students. This increases the ability of staff to provide a high quality learning environment for the children.
