Rosebery District School offers Birth - Year 12 Learning Opportunities within the districts of Tullah, Rosebery and Zeehan on the remote West Coast of Tasmania.

RACT is coming to you with FREE learner driver & supervisor sessions in Queenstown and Rosebery this September.

Teaching someone to drive can be hard, even if you're a really experienced driver.

Get practical guidance and support from RACT's driving instructors and educators and ask your questions in a safe, supportive space.

PLUS get a voucher for a free RACT driving lesson for learners and supervisors to attend together, snacks and a goodie bag.

The sessions will be held:
- Tuesday 8 September, 5.30pm-7pm at Mountain Heights School
- Wednesday 9 September, 6pm–7.30pm at Rosebery Neighbourhood House

Students in our Hands on Learning classes have been hard at work today, starting projects and practising their skills.

Our Build class have weeded, mulched and planted the garden beds next to the bus stop. These look fantastic - a huge improvement at the front of our school.

Our Cafe class have been practising their baking skills. Plans are afoot for some big cooks coming up which will give back to our local community.

We are really proud of the work our students have already been doing in this program and can't wait to see what else they can achieve.

A big shoutout to Miss Jo, Miss Martin and the SLC for their hard work setting up and running our amazing book fair last week! Not only were there lots of books and things for students to peruse and purchase, for the first time we sold over $1000 of books - in fact, it was a whopping $1370.65!

This has allowed us to purchase a whole range of new books for our school library.

We thank our families and community for your continued support.

Our second annual Science Week was a hit! Students engaged in lots of lunchtime and classroom activities, had visits from Young Tassie Scientists, National Quantum and Dark Matter Road Trip, and showed off their learning at our Science Fair.

Thanks to Australian Science Teachers Association for sponsoring our Science Week - the seeds of learning will continue to grow!
