🌺ANZAC Day-Lest We Forget 🌺
Today we pause to remember and honour the bravery, sacrifice and service of the men and women who have served our country. On ANZAC Day, we reflect on the courage of the ANZACs and all those who have protected our freedom.
At Little Bees childcare, we take this opportunity to teach our children about respect, remembrance and gratitude.

Excursions are great fun for our little ones and allow them to learn about their environment outside of the home and Little Bees in a safe and controlled way. These excursions also help children navigate and practice everyday life skills, such as waiting for the green man to cross the road and listening to instructions.
The children recently enjoyed a walk to our local library to take part in a bilingual story time. Storytime is not only a fun and engaging activity but also supports language development, early literacy skills, and imagination. It encourages listening, attention, and social skills, while giving children the opportunity to explore their community and experience different cultures through stories.

Our Easter event was such a joyful celeberation with our children and the families!
The children stole the show in their adorable Easter Hat Parade, led by our special guest - the Easter bunny! Our own petting zoo, the hatching chicks and a bunny we borrowed from one of our families was such a huge hit! The children were so excited! The children had a blast hunting for easter egg! And the excitement peaked as lucky families won the prize from the raffle draw, colouring competition and easter egg guessing games! It was such a wonderful time making sweet Easter memories together!

Being Culturally aware and respectful for our First Nations.
As we are a community committed to Reconciliation we also recognize that celebrating these things on the 26th January can divide us as Australians by marginalising and offending many Indigenous people who see this date as commencing a chain of events that had disastrous consequences for many Indigenous people.
The negative effects of colonization continue to have very real impact on the lives of many Indigenous Australians in the form of intergenerational trauma, generational poverty, health disparity, disconnection from culture, disappearance of language, family separation, social discrimination and more.
Yabun Festival is the largest one-day gathering and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in Australia, held annually on 26th of January upon the traditional lands of the Gadigal people in Sydney.
Established by Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation in 2003, Yabun (meaning ‘music to a beat’ in Gadigal language) is a free event that features live music, a bustling stalls market, panel discussions and community forums on Aboriginal issues, children’s activities, and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performances.
Yabun Festival welcomes everyone to join us in this one-of-a-kind event which honours the survival of the world’s oldest living culture, whether that be in-person in Victoria Park, via Koori Radio 93.7FM in Greater Sydney or video livestream at Yabun.org.au.
