πŸ† NSWCHS PUMA CUP β€” RUNNERS-UP! πŸ†

What an incredible achievement from our Open Boys Football Team, finishing 2nd in NSW in the NSWCHS Puma Cup β€” a statewide knockout competition involving public high schools from across the entire state.

Our journey began in the Sydney East competition, where the boys progressed through to the Sydney East Grand Final and qualified for the NSWCHS Puma Cup State knockout competition.

In the State competition, we progressed to the semi-final and faced The Jannali High School. This match also served as the Sydney East Grand Final, meaning the boys were playing for a place in the State Final as well as the Sydney East Championship. A fantastic result saw our boys crowned Sydney East Champions and progress to the NSWCHS State Final.

A huge congratulations to Killarney Heights High School, who were simply too strong for us on the day. They were outstanding in the final and deservedly took out the NSWCHS Puma Cup.

To reach a State Final through a knockout competition, where one loss ends your campaign, is an outstanding achievement. To finish in the top two public high school football teams in the entire state is something this group should be incredibly proud of.

We are particularly proud of our boys given only one-third of our squad are Year 12 students. The future is certainly bright for this team!
A huge thank you to Mr Te Rata for his coaching, commitment and support throughout the campaign, and well done to every player for their effort, resilience and commitment.

⚽ RBSC Open Boys Football make STATE SEMI FINALS!
What an achievement! On Friday our Open Boys Football team defeated Figtree High School 3–1 in a high-quality NSW CHS Knockout Quarter Final at Waverley Oval.
With only the top 8 public school teams in NSW remaining, RBSC showed outstanding skill, teamwork and determination to progress to the state semi finals β€” now placing our team among the top 4 Open Boys Football teams in NSW public schools.
This incredible campaign follows their success in the Sydney East competition, with RBSC having reached the Sydney East Grand Final, which is yet to be played against The Jannali High School.
A huge congratulations to our players and coaches on this outstanding achievement. The RBSC community is incredibly proud!

⚽️A six-hour bus trip to Dubbo was no obstacle for our Senior Boys Football Team, who put in a brilliant performance last week to defeat Dubbo High School 4–2 and book their place in the next round! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
πŸ”₯ Jaydon K was unstoppable, scoring all four goals in a sensational attacking display.
At the other end of the field, Eddy led a determined defensive effort, with fantastic support from Ryan and Tjara, helping secure a well-deserved victory.
The boys now turn their attention to Figtree High School in the next round as they look to keep their impressive run alive. πŸ’ͺ⚽️
And while their football skills stole the show on the field, the bus ride home featured a few Adele backup singers in the making... although we’re sure they’ll deny it! πŸŽ€πŸ˜‚
Congratulations, boys! We’re proud of your effort, resilience and teamwork. Best of luck in the next round! πŸ‘πŸ’™πŸ’›
