Our Out and About program has been featured in this month’s Every Child magazine published by Early Childhood Australia.
This recognition celebrates the meaningful learning that happens when children explore our local environment—climbing, discovering, problem-solving and caring for nature together.
Thank you to our committed educators families for supporting nature-based learning and trusting us to explore beyond the fence.
Art. Play. Community.
Our visit to at Redleaf was an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and learn in a new setting.
Through contact with contemporary art, the children’s senses and imagination were ignited. The artworks sparked ideas, conversations and creative responses, inspiring the children to create their own pieces.
Excursions like this connect children with the wider community, helping them see, explore and interact with a rich variety of people, places and ideas.
After our gallery adventure, we shared a picnic-style lunch before heading back — tired, inspired and full of ideas.
Thanks Woollarah Art Gallery for having us! If you’re looking for meaningful places to explore with children, this is definitely one worth visiting.

What a fun week at Ballykin! 🛴 🚥 We’ve loved celebrating Ride2School and encouraging children to come on their scooters. This has brought a big educational moment, not only supporting a sustainable way of coming in to Ballykin but also road safety and developing children’s gross motor skills 🛴 🛑 🚦

Let’s show our Ballykin coral reef some love!
We’re so excited to share that two of the Wombats’ artworks from last year’s art show have made it to the finals of the Litterarty Waste Art Competition as part of the 2026.
Our two finalist artworks are:
The Vibrant Reef
The Textile Reef
They are now being exhibited at Bondi Beach Pavilion from 18 to 22 March in the Yalagang Room.
There is also a People’s Choice Award, and we would love your support.
