The Mounjaro Journey for Chronic Inflammation.

I've spent 26 years of my life struggling with what I have learnt only this year is Endo and Adenomyosis. The past 8 months has been terrible dealing with chronic inflammation throughout my body. I train hard and mostly do the right thing but it was just at a point where mentally I couldn't deal with it anymore. By 2pm everyday I looked 6 months pregnant. Just dealing with my body on a daily basis was so exhausting physically and mentally. In late November I decided that I had to try something different. Mounjaro was raised as an option with my specialist as research is showing it can really help with inflammation. This has been life changing. For me the inflammation was gone within 24-48 hours. But.....
Taking a weekly injection is just not the answer. I prep all my food, high protein (120gms) per day. I strength train 5 days a week and walk everyday. The injection allows my body to work properly and adding in good food and training. All my snacks are high protein as well. Moving forward this is for 3 months, looking long term who knows, but for now its life changing.
5kgs lost in the first 4 weeks has been a bonus, focussing on not losing muscle.
The photo of my body was pre and two weeks post starting. The amount of inflammation in my stomach was insane. Follow me for updates and yes it may not be the answer for everyone but if this can help just one person then it makes it all worth it. Ive suffered long enough

Perimenopause...what a sh*tshow lol
The can't fall asleep, the waking up multiple times a night, the weight gain around the midsection even though you do everything right. Omg the brain fog and the mood swings
What a struggle it is. For those women out there struggling.. i hear you.
The answers
Sleep well (8 hours)
Eat right
Strength train 3 days a week
Stress less, relax
Yes this is how you help yourself but honestly its so difficult. All of these sound so easy but in reality its near impossible... if you are struggling just remember you are not alone. For all the partners out there, educate yourself so can you can support us not run the opposite direction. We need you right now more than ever!

Week 4 of hernia surgery recovery. Cut my long hair, things are getting serious. Time to put in the work to get fit again and lose all the chocolate weight ive put on 🤣

The daily struggle with adenomyosis. Endos evil twin sister... this was at 1130am this mornng after 500mls of water and electrolyte powder.... stomach bloated and was huge...will take until tomrrow morning to go down to flat again 😭. Being a woman is a nightmare some days

Grapefruit Juice. So disgusting to drink but helpful to keep Cortisol from slowing down in the morning. Need a high spike in the morning to balance out the day. 10 min of natural sunlight when you first wake up is the best source. Cortisol is an important hormone to balance out to keep your body functioning...its not just a "stress hormone" as people call it.

5 days post Hernia surgery and Opioid overdose in hospital.. my diet has consisted of chocolate, chips and cans of coke. Im dead tired by around 1pm and im about 20 episodes into Law & Order SVU season 21. Time to pull my head in and stop this nonsense 🤣. Recovert is not my strong point

Been a bit quiet on here for a while. Just turned 47 and finally coming to the realisation that perfection doesnt exist. Ive spent my life trying to have the perfect body but life, perimenopause, medical issues, body dysphormia, stress and exhaustion takes its toll... i have learnt in the last 10 months that the gym and overtraining has been my coping mechanism to all of these for a really long time. Last night I gave away a training session to watch Netflix. Sounds like nothing to someone else but huge for me. Thank you to Anthony .fitnesshub for opening my eyes and my mind to accept myself for who I am. A long way to go and find balance but certainly heading in a good direction. Life is too short to spend time worrying about how you look... you are my world and such a positive influence in my life ❤️

Embrace Winter and The Cold 🥶
I loved the 75 Hard Program and the results so much that Im doing it again starting this Tuesday. Adding in an additional task... a 5 min cold shower. The benefits of a cold shower just add to this program.

I lost 9kg, 8% body fat and only 1% muscle.

Throw yourself out of your comfort zone and do somethimg positive this winter.
