Lest we forget. Milestone Early Learning Junior campus pays our respects and remembrance to all the soldiers past, present and future who fought and fight for keeping us all safe.

As a service we wish to pay our respects and remember our local soldier Godfrey George Richard Trenought. Who was in the 54th infantry battalion, receiving the British war medal and Victory medal for his services. Sadly Godfrey was wounded in combat and past away in France.

👏 Celebrating Community Connections 👏

Milestones Early learning Roma sparked Big Dreams to support families of the community access to childcare within our region by advocating incentives for regional staff support that inspires to benefit all Maranoa and Darling Downs Childcare services.

Over the past year Milestones Junior Campus Center Manager Christel has been working in the background with Cassandra from Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development to kick start community support and programs that aims to support attracting Qualified Educators to regional centres, support current Educators and bridge Visa gaps.

On Friday 6th of March our community came together along side Department of Education, Australian Childcare Association to discuss current barriers, issues and solutions with hopes that a long term partnerships are created around supporting our local and regional educators.

As a service we look forward to continuing to connect with community, ACA, Council and Department of education to uplift and create a stronger community.

Big feelings can be loud, exhausting, and sometimes arrive at the worst possible moment 🌻

For toddlers and preschoolers, emotional blow-ups often happen because they’re still learning how to cope with frustration, change, and big moments, not because anyone is “doing it wrong”.

At Milestones, we support children through big feelings with calm, consistent care, helping them feel safe while they build emotional skills over time.

At our centre, children enjoy outdoor play in the mornings and late afternoons when UV levels are lower. Throughout the day our educators ensure:

🌳 Shade and hydration breaks
💧 Lots of water play and cool-down moments
