NSTA ROMA (tm) will be conducting Provide First Aid and CPR refresher training (HLTAID009, HLTAIDO10, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012) in Roma on Tuesday 25/8/26.

Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014) and Prepare To Work Safely In The Construction Industry CPCWHS1001 (white card) also available, please call for further info on our next sessions.
Blended training can be conducted via E Learning and the practical components will be conducted on the day.

*We can also travel to outlying towns, properties or your workplace to provide flexible learning.

Ever wonder how shotgun pellets are made?

Traditionally molten lead was poured through a sieve and dropped from a height. The falling droplets would form perfect spheres due to surface tension. They would then solidify in a vat of cold water at the bottom.

The modern process is essentially the same but more refined and much smaller hardware utilised.

Larger ‘buckshot’ or ‘slugs’ are generally manufactured using a mould.

Pictured is a 19th century shot tower located in Melbourne. It is no longer producing shot but now houses the Melbourne Shot Tower Museum.

Today NSTA Roma again had the privilege of attending the Protective Security Forum in Toowoomba!
It was an extremely informative session aimed at helping the relevant parties to make our crowded places and the general community safer for everyone 🤗.
Thank you to the QPS Counter Terrorism Command, ASIO and USQ for hosting the day.

Over the last few days we have traveled plenty of klms and had the pleasure of training many wonderful students.
The firearm categories instructed varied from A/B, C, D, H and M.
Attendees included minors, recreational & sporting shootings as well as occupational & collectors.
A big thank you also goes out to the Wallumbilla Rifle/Pistol Club and Dalby Pistol Club for their ongoing support and use of their venues 🤗.
