I'm running a drum program during the January holidays commencing 10.00 AM-12.00 PM Monday 5th January-Friday 9th January.

The program will focus on building students' confidence, ear training, performance, and timing skills through repertoire and performance.

Drummers will receive two-hour rehearsal slots and private tuition as we work toward learning and memorising two performance pieces to perform at the end of the program on Sunday 11th January 3.00 PM at Lauderdale beach ( Weather Permitting)

The program is an excellent opportunity to focus and excel in a supportive environment.

The cost for the 6-day, two-hour per day program for each student is $660.00

This will be a lot of fun!

All the best

I was interviewed by Mel Bush on ABC Radio this morning, and she loves street drumming! Here's the link.

Mel Bush gets invited to a street drumming class, shares your clock and watch stories, as well as talks to a garden owner about their winter strategy.

Street Drumming Class Commences 9th May
Hi Drummers, I have had some interest in the class; however, I need confirmation via text, email or phone for the class to proceed. Therefore, I have postponed the start date until 9th May. Please get in touch with me directly to reserve your place so I can prepare the class and drums for you. All the best!

Playing at home with Santa watching on!

This easy beginner drum solo has ten first-grade patterns, including a 12/8 feel, paradiddles, triplets, the Nine stroke roll, and dynamic contrasts.
The aim is to begin cultivating memory and thinking ahead while focusing on the moment. I hope some of you learn and enjoy the solo I created for my niece Kai.
Drum On!

I'm working on doubles, with a triplet ostinato played with the feet. It's a nice warm-up and gets the blood flowing! It's a great idea to practice with a metronome. Start slow, around 70 bpm, and increase by increments of 4 bpm until you reach the desired speed. If you would like a basic transcript, email me, and I'll send you a message. Happy drumming!

I began teaching Ashton in January 2018. It's fantastic to see your students grow musically and as young people. Ashton has completed five AMEB piano exams with me, nothing below A and A+. A lot of work goes into preparing for an Exam, and Ashton does the job! It's worth a shout-out. Well done, Ashton! Formal Music qualifications offered through the UTAS/ Australian Music Examinations board can be rewarding for students interested in challenging themselves. The exam syllabus, preparation, and performance will only appeal to some students; however, here is a link if you think it may be a good fit for you or your family. link https://www.utas.edu.au/australian-music-examinations-board
