Last Friday morning we celebrated the special men in our Emmanuel community!

Our Father’s Day Breakfast, hosted by our Community Engagement Committee, was a great opportunity to come together, share breakfast and celebrate the dads and father figures who play such an important role in the lives of our students.

A quick flashback to our Science Week Assembly during National Science Week! Students came together to celebrate all things science and the fascinating world of discovery, investigation and innovation.

🔬 SCIENCE WEEK AT EMMANUEL! 🧠

A few weeks ago, our students had an amazing opportunity to meet four Young Tassie Scientists from the University of Tasmania and discover what it is really like to work in science!

From seeing a sheep’s brain with a neuroscientist, to guessing whether animals were snakes or lizards with an evolutionary ecologist, students put their reflexes to the test in a ruler-catching competition with a medical scientist, and watched colour-changing chemical reactions with a mathematical chemistry scientist.

So many fascinating investigations, questions and hands-on experiences — what a fantastic way to celebrate Science Week! 🔬✨

🧪🌈 SCIENCE IN PREP! 🌈🧪

Our Prep students became little scientists during Science Week as they explored the pH levels of common household items! 🔬

They tested different substances and were amazed to see the indicator change colour depending on whether each item was acidic or alkaline.
