S W I M M I N G L E S S O N S
Reminder!! Swimming lessons has been on our Term Planner for the end of this term and preparations are underway. Consent and payment information has been emailed to families for Group 1 swimming lessons, starting Monday 31 August.
Group 1 swimming lessons is for students in Pre-Primary, Year 2 and the three Year 5/6 classes.

We have THREE fun events on next week that we want you to know about!
🇮🇩 Monday 24 August
Next Monday, we are continuing on with our Indonesian Independence Day celebrations with some optional, fun activities. Year 1-6 students are encouraged to wear the colours of the Indonesian flag or Indonesian style clothing.
🚲Over the weekend, the Year 1-6 students can decorate their wheels (bikes and scooters etc) for a parade on Monday morning. This is a BIG DEAL in Indonesia and there is lots of inspiration online, if you wanted to take a look.
📚Thursday 27 August
It is National Children's Book Week next week. Our annual, whole school Dress Up Parade is next Thursday morning in the Undercover Area. Our school community is very welcome to attend.

It's Week 5! Next week our students have TWO opportunities to dress up:
🇮🇩 Year 1-6 students are encouraged to wear red and white (the colours of the Indonesian flag) or cultural dress for Indonesian Independence Day celebrations on Monday 24 August.
📚 Our whole school Book Week Dress Up Parade is the morning of Thursday 27 August. Our community is very welcome to join in on the fun!

🏃 ROEBUCK ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Roebuck Athletics Carnival Program was sent home via Compass on Tuesday 4 August.

Your child should also have brought home a sheet Friday last week showing which events they have qualified for or are participating in.

We had an overwhelming response from students wanting to have a go as a Wild Card (WC) if they did not qualify in the Top 10 – which is fantastic!

⭐ LONG JUMP WILD CARDS – TUESDAY (11th)
To help us get through all of the events, the following Long Jump Wild Cards (WC) will complete their jump tomorrow (Tuesday) during school time:

Year 1 Boys
Year 2 Boys and Girls
Year 3 Boys
Year 4 Boys
Year 6 Boys

These students will briefly pop out of class to complete their one Wild Card jump and return straight back to class.

📅 ALL OTHER FIELD EVENTS – WEDNESDAY (12th) - DAY 1
All other Long Jump and Throws, including the remaining Wild Cards, will take place on Wednesday as scheduled.

It's Week 4 and a very busy week at our school! A reminder:
👉 Book Week is Week 6. Our Book Week Dress Up Parade is the morning of Thursday 27 August for all students (except Marraga 1A).

One of the biggest sporting events on our school calendar is here! It’s time to come together, show our faction pride and see which faction will take out the top spot!

Across two massive days of fun and competition, students will run, jump, throw and participate in team games, earning valuable points for their faction along the way.

Come ready to bring your faction pride, give your best effort and show great sportsmanship. Cheer on your teammates, encourage others and, most importantly, have a go and have fun!
