The Year 7 Bush Ranger Cadets had WADSA visit our school with their Adventures for Anyone program about outdoor activities, such as orienteering, camping and shelter building.
Week 1, it was archery, and it was fantastic to see students try new things and push past what they thought were their limits. It lets them surprise themselves and do more than they believed they could, all in a safe and caring place.
Students didn't wear their Bush Ranger uniform as it was Pyjama Day, where Room 9 did a fantastic job in raising money for Telethon 🎯

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, our Bush Ranger Cadets enjoyed a wonderful Aboriginal cultural incursion last Thursday — Koora Middi, presented by Greg Nannup from Indigenous Tours WA.
Students explored local Nyoongar history and learned about traditional artefacts, including a kangaroo-skin cloak, carrying bag, fire‑lighting sticks, Yandi dish, boomerangs, and bush seeds. They also discovered how local plants are used for traditional food and medicine.
A highlight of the day was the bush string‑making demonstration.
It was a meaningful and hands‑on way to celebrate culture, Country, and community during NAIDOC Week 🪃🦘⚫🟡🔴

Senior School Business Enterprise students demonstrated excellent responsibility and maturity during their excursion yesterday. Mrs Conway accompanied the students to Kmart to research and select items that may be useful for their upcoming Business Enterprise project. Working within their allocated budgets, the students carefully considered their purchases and returned with a range of valuable resources and materials to support their project work. Congratulations to all students for their sensible decision-making and positive representation of the school. Well done!
