Most importantly, investing in quality early education gives children the opportunity to learn, grow, build confidence and develop skills that support them beyond the classroom and when they begin their next steps of schooling.

For our staff, it’s the everyday moments spent with the children. No two days are the same, but getting to play a part in each child’s early years makes every one of them worth it.

🚀✨ Space Week at Skippy’s Early Learning Centres has landed! Overnight, our rooms became real-life spaceships and the children transformed into master astronauts. They explored “Alien Snot” (oobleck) using hands and tools—squeezing, scooping, pouring and discovering how it can feel gooey… then stronger when pressed fast! 👽👋

Learning co-ordination and how to use the small muscles in their hands, wrists and fingers are for gaining independence, managing daily tasks and setting your child up for success at big school. While many of our daily activities at Skippy’s focus on developing these fine motor skills, giving your child a chance to practice at home helps reinforce their learning during the week. Here’s a few simple ways you can encourage this with toys you’ll likely already have on hand or everyday household tasks.

What a day in our kindergarten classroom! 🎉 We welcomed the wonderful wildlife team from Cooberrie Park for an unforgettable animal incursion.
