Journey Early Learning Kawana is where your child’s journey begins... Journey Kawana is a warm and homely early learning centre that inspires adventure and joy.

The centre is designed around your little explorer and play-based learning. That means getting messy, digging in the dirt and playing in amongst the gardens. Our play spaces inspire children to work together with their friends to conquer milestones with confidence. We encourage our children to test their boundaries, while helping them to achieve different outcomes. It’s a place where children aged

πŸ¦– Roar-some learning adventures in our Senior Toddler room! πŸ¦•

Our children have been loving all things dinosaurs, exploring exciting indoor and outdoor dinosaur experiences. From imaginative small world play to digging and discovering in our dinosaur sensory tray, the children have been developing their creativity, communication skills, and curiosity as they learn through play.

It's been wonderful to see their excitement as they bring prehistoric worlds to life! πŸ’šβœ¨

What a yummy morning tea! 🌈 Chef Kerri prepared a delicious Future Foodies Savoury Platter, and the children were excited to explore the colourful selection of healthy foods. Children were encouraged to self-serve, building their independence, confidence, and decision-making skills. They enjoyed choosing their favourites, trying new flavours, and sharing conversations with friends about healthy eating.

This week, meet Miss Georgia! πŸ’›

Miss Georgia's passion for working with children was inspired by her own experiences at school. She received a great deal of support from her teachers growing up, and that inspired her to become someone children can turn to, helping them feel safe, valued, and cared for each day.

One of her favourite childhood memories is spending time with her grandparents and cheering on her brother from the sidelines as he played football.

What Miss Georgia loves most about working in childcare is watching children grow, learn, and develop new skills. Seeing their faces light up with excitement and pride when they discover something new or achieve a goal brings her much joy and makes each day rewarding. We are grateful for the kindness and care Miss Georgia brings to our children and families each day.✨

This week, our little learners have been exploring nature through sensory play, discovering Australian animals and natural materials while developing curiosity, creativity and a love for the environment.

By nurturing these experiences from an early age, we're helping children become future caretakers of our beautiful country. 🌏

This week, we're shining the spotlight on Miss Tracey! πŸ’›

Miss Tracey loves the opportunity to be part of a family's journey, working alongside parents and caregivers to help build a strong foundation for each child's future. Creating meaningful relationships with children and their families is something she values deeply, and she feels privileged to play a role in supporting children as they learn and grow.

One of the most rewarding parts of her role is watching children work towards and achieve their goals. Whether it's mastering a new skill, building confidence, or overcoming a challenge, seeing the pride on their little faces when they succeed is a feeling that is hard to put into words. Those special moments and big smiles are what make her role so meaningful.

Miss Tracey's caring nature and dedication to supporting every child's development make her a valued member of our Journey family, and we're so grateful for the warmth and encouragement she brings each day. βœ¨πŸ’•

🌈 The Rainbow Fish! 🐟

Over the past week, Kindy has been exploring The Rainbow Fish, focusing on the important messages of kindness, friendship, inclusion, and sharing.

Throughout the week, the children engaged in a variety of experiences inspired by the story, including creating their own colourful fish scales using watercolours, droppers, and glitter. As they experimented with colours and sparkling effects, the children reflected on how the Rainbow Fish shared their special scales with others.

These experiences encouraged meaningful conversations about empathy, generosity, and what it means to be a kind friend. The children were proud to create scales to share with others around the centre, helping bring the story's message to life.
