Fridayโs have become Primary Mโs favourite day of the week!
Every Friday morning, we hop on the RSS Bus and explore a different park in Rockhampton, the students love getting to challenge themselves on different playground equipment and enjoy interacting with the students from Primary L who join us each week. If we arenโt going out and exploring Rockhampton, we will do a cooking class, so far we have made cupcakes, decorated cookies, made mac and cheese and cooked our own two-minute-noodles. After first break we get to do our combined art activities where we join other primary classes either in the playground or on the oval to create different art projects and experiment with different mediums.

๐ฌ Questacon Science Circus
Rockhampton Special School was fortunate to recently welcome the Questacon Science Circus as part of our National Science Week celebrations.
Our students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the engaging and interactive presentations, which explored exciting science concepts including sound and flight. โ๏ธ๐ต
Students had opportunities to watch demonstrations, respond to the presenters and volunteer to participate in activities throughout the sessions, making for a fun and memorable Science Week experience.
A huge thank you to the Questacon presenters for providing such a wonderful experience and for taking the time to adapt the sessions to ensure they were meaningful, accessible and engaging for all of our learners.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to bring science to life for our students! ๐ฌ๐งชโจ
