I witnessed the most dangerous action from a learner driver. The learner was in a 4wd Nissan Navara and turned directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision. If you are going to take a learner out into traffic, make sure that they know the road rules and are competent enough. An innocent driver was nearly wiped out from a poor decision. If you are not competent in Training, then leave it to someone that is and has dual controls.

It is Rural Road Safety Month, please drive to the conditions and avoid the fatal five; speeding; seatbelts; drugs and alcohol; fatigue and distracted driving.
