Students are encouraged to dress as their favourite book character and bring along a copy of the book (or book cover) that inspired their costume.

We're excited to be hosting a Cupcake Fundraiser on Wednesday, 26 August to support students in Lebanon. Through SIM Australia, every dollar raised will go directly towards providing students with the resources they need to support their learning and education.

✅ Available to all students from Prep to Year 12
✅ Prep-Year 4 cupcakes will be delivered directly to classrooms
✅ Year 5-12 students can collect their cupcakes from the Tuckshop during lunch

Year 8 and 9 parents and students are invited to attend our Junior Secondary Elective Information Night to learn more about the exciting elective subjects available and make informed choices for next year.

This week, Lighthouse Christian School is proudly supporting 𝘉𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘰 𝘞𝘢𝘺: 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘞𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 with the 2026 theme, 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.

This year's theme encourages us all to:
🧡 𝐁𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 – Speak up when you witness bullying.
🧡 𝐁𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 – Include, encourage and uplift those around you.
🧡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐔𝐩 – Take a stand and report bullying to help create a safer environment for everyone.

Throughout the week, students will be exploring how simple acts of kindness, respectful words, and positive actions can make a big difference in creating a safe and supportive school community. From being a good friend to standing up for others, every small action matters.

Every student will also receive a purple wristband as a daily reminder to 𝐁𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝐁𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐔𝐩, and will have the opportunity to participate in lunchtime activities designed to build friendships, strengthen connections and promote kindness across our school.

Today, our students took part in an important Water Safety Education session as they prepare for our Lower Primary Swimming Program in Term 4.

Our Prep-Year 3 students participated in engaging activities designed to develop essential knowledge and skills to help them stay safe in, on and around water.

The sessions were delivered by qualified lifeguards from Northside Pool, operated by Aqualification & Fitness. Our students had the opportunity to learn from experienced swimming and water safety educators, with a special guest helping to make the sessions even more engaging — Cookie the Kookaburra!

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to build their confidence and understanding of water safety while having plenty of fun along the way!
A big thank you to the team from Northside Pool for helping our students develop these important life skills. 💙

🏅 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🏅

Congratulations to Alicia, Jackson, Tom, Tahlia, Ziggy, and Dustin on their selection in the 10-19 Years Rockhampton District Athletics Team! They will travel to Mackay later in August to compete at the Capricornia Athletics Trials.

This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment. We are incredibly proud of these students and wish them all the very best as they represent the Rockhampton District.

🤖 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🤖

Lighthouse Christian School was proud to compete in this year's RoboCup Junior Regionals with five teams: one Open Line Rescue team and four Secondary Line Rescue teams.

All of our teams performed well, demonstrating great teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance throughout the competition. While we didn't secure a top three placing this year, our students gained valuable experience and are already preparing for next year.

We're also excited that our Open team will be heading to the State Championships to continue their RoboCup journey.
