This morning’s Book Week Parade was full of excitement, fun, colour and some absolutely AMAZING costumes! 🦸♀️🧙♂️👑🐉📖
A huge **THANK YOU** to our wonderful parents and families, staff and students for the incredible effort that went into making today so special. 💙 Your creativity and enthusiasm brought our favourite books and characters to life!
There were plenty of smiles, laughs and proud moments as our students took to the parade to show off their Book Week creations. 🌟📚

🏏 Friday cricket for PE on the oval!🎶
Our seniors were out on the oval with Miss Close, tunes pumping, bats swinging and plenty of friendly competition!
They are getting some important practice in ahead of the Backyard Cricket Match on 2 September at our Father’s and Others Afternoon.
Judging by today’s preparation, the competition could be fierce! 🏏

NAIDOC Celebrations at Lakes Creek State School
This week we were proud to come together as a school community to celebrate NAIDOC Week and learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and connections to Country.
A special thank you to Uncle Wade Mann, who opened our celebrations and shared his knowledge and a range of cultural experiences with our students.
We were also fortunate to welcome Zoe and Matilda from the Rockhampton Child and Family Centre, who spent time speaking with and supporting our students throughout the celebrations.
Our students participated in a range of hands on cultural activities and learning experiences, creating wonderful opportunities to listen, learn, connect and celebrate together.
Thank you also to BushKids for joining us and providing engaging sessions for our students.
