“I've already tried everything.”

I hear this regularly.
And usually, when we talk about it, she really has tried a lot.
Supplements, diet changes, exercise programs, blood tests.

Listened to podcasts, read books and maybe HRT.
Maybe seen several practitioners.

She is not lacking information or effort.
The problem is often that nobody has stood back and asked:

💣How does all of this connect?
That is where my work begins.

Recently, I worked with a woman who arrived with months of pathology, ongoing symptoms and a lot of questions.

Instead of looking at one result in isolation, I went through the changes across her pathology, her symptoms, nutrition, hormones and what had been happening in her life.

Her reaction afterwards was essentially:

“Nobody has explained it to me like that before.”

That is the work I love.

Not giving women more information to add to the pile.

Helping them understand their own pattern so we can decide what actually deserves attention.

You do not need another generic list of things you should be doing.
You need to know what matters for you.

If you feel as though you have tried everything but still do not understand why you don't feel like yourself, book a Clarity Call with me. ( link in Bio)

We'll start by making sense of the picture.

What actually happens when you tell me, “I don't feel like myself anymore”?

I don't start by deciding you have a hormone problem and I don't start by handing you a protocol.

I start by listening;

💥What changed first?
💥How are you sleeping?
💥What is your energy doing?
💥Has your weight changed?
💥What happens under stress?
💥How are you eating?
💥What does your pathology show?
💥What are you carrying at work and at home?
💥And importantly, what have you already tried?

Then I start looking for connections.

For one woman, we may need to begin with physiology through Hormone Pathways.
For another, her health and nervous system load have become intertwined with years of over-functioning, self-abandonment and being the person who carries everything. That may lead us towards The Recalibration Process.

And another woman may be physically well but repeatedly stuck in patterns she understands intellectually and still cannot change. Alignment Coaching may make more sense for her.

You do not need to diagnose yourself or choose the right program before speaking to me.

That is why I use a Clarity Call (link is in my bio)

Tell me what is happening. I'll help you work out where I would start.

He came to me because he wanted to improve his deadlift.

What emerged had very little to do with his deadlift.
Years ago, one of my kinesiology clients wrote a series of reviews about his experience working with me.

Reading this one again recently reminded me how often the reason someone initially seeks help isn’t where the work eventually leads.
He was a powerlifter. Strong, capable and, according to the people around him, probably the last person anyone would describe as anxious.

Except he was.

In his words, he’d become extremely good at building an outward character that looked like the opposite of what he was carrying internally.
There was another pattern too.
He started things.
He didn’t finish them.

Even his training had become tangled between preparing as though he were still competing at Nationals, comparing himself with the other lifters and simultaneously trying to achieve a completely different goal for his body.

So we didn’t begin with some enormous new target.
His first goal was very simple:
Finish the power cycle he’d already started.
Not to win anything.
Not to keep up with anybody else.
Finish it because it was his goal.

He did.

And something began changing.
He described the fun returning to training, his results improving and finishing that first goal strengthening his drive to complete the things he started.

I love finding old reviews like this because they remind me that the work I’ve developed over the years didn’t suddenly appear when I gave it a name.

I’ve always been interested in the same question:
What is actually driving the pattern underneath what you’re showing me?

Would you like help in clearing an old pattern or support on reaching a goal?

If you've booked a lymphatic drainage massage, how do you know you're actually receiving lymphatic drainage?

It's a question worth asking because lymphatic drainage should feel very different from a remedial or relaxation massage.

One of the first things I tell my clients is that more pressure does not mean more effective lymphatic drainage.

The superficial lymphatic vessels we're trying to influence sit close beneath the skin. The technique uses very light, rhythmic movements that gently stretch and release the skin rather than pushing deeply into the muscle.

I often describe the pressure to clients as being similar to patting a cat.
If you're expecting a firm massage, it can initially feel surprisingly gentle.

A lymphatic practitioner should also be able to explain why they're working where they're working.

For example, I don't necessarily begin treatment where you're swollen or uncomfortable. I may start around the Terminus -neck and clavicle area and work through other lymphatic pathways before addressing the area that brought you in.

Depending on the person I'm treating, I may also incorporate breathing, abdominal work and gentle fascial techniques to support movement through the lymphatic system.

I work with people for very different reasons, from lymphoedema and lipoedema through to swelling, post-treatment support and people who simply feel heavy or puffy and want to support healthy lymphatic movement.

That means I want to understand why you're there before I decide what your treatment needs to look like.

So if you're looking for a lymphatic drainage practitioner, ask questions.

Ask what training they've completed.
Ask what technique they use.
Ask them to explain what they're doing and why.

A practitioner who understands lymphatic drainage should be comfortable answering you.

If you're in Rockhampton and would like to know whether lymphatic drainage may be appropriate for you, you're welcome to book a session with me or contact me to have a chat first.

“I should be able to handle this.”

This is one of the beliefs I hear underneath so many conversations with capable women.

I should be able to handle this.

You handled it five years ago.
You used to work all day, exercise, look after everyone, remember everything and still have energy left.

So when that becomes harder, it is very easy to decide that you are the problem.

Maybe you need more discipline.
Maybe you have become lazy.
Maybe you need to lose the weight.
Maybe you just need to get yourself together.

Except I think we are asking the wrong question.
Instead of asking, “Why can't I cope like I used to?”

I want to know:

“What are you carrying now that your body is having to cope with?”

Because your hormonal landscape may have changed.
Your sleep may have changed.
Your nutritional requirements may have changed.
Your cognitive load may be enormous.
You may have spent years operating under chronic stress while becoming extraordinarily good at appearing fine.

And your old way of coping may simply no longer be sustainable.

That is very different from failure.

If you have been trying harder and getting increasingly frustrated because your body is not responding the way it once did, book a Clarity Call with me.

We will look at what is actually happening rather than starting from the assumption that you need to try harder.

Being capable can hide how much your health has changed

One of the things I have noticed after years of working with women is that the most capable woman in the room can also be the one whose health is quietly declining.

She is still working, still running the business or leading the team and still managing the family.
Remembering what everybody needs and solving problems before anyone else notices there is a problem.

Which is precisely why nobody thinks she is struggling.
Sometimes she does not recognise it either.

Because the skills that have made her successful, discipline, organisation, responsibility, problem-solving and the ability to push through, are the same skills she uses to compensate when her capacity starts changing.

So she works harder, becomes stricter with food.
She pushes herself at the gym and she drinks another coffee and tells herself she just needs to get on top of things.

Meanwhile, sleep has changed. Words disappear. Her body feels different. Her energy is unpredictable and everything requires more effort than it used to.

This is why I do not look at one symptom in isolation.

When a woman tells me, “I don't feel like myself anymore,” I want to understand what has changed across her health, hormones, pathology, nutrition, sleep, stress, nervous system and the life she is asking her body to keep up with.

Because reduced capacity does not mean you have become less capable.

If you recognise yourself in this, book a Clarity Call with me. We can work out what is happening and where I would start.

When Annie first came to see me, she was 58, living with multiple autoimmune conditions including Graves' disease and Hashimoto's, and she was exhausted.

One of the things she wanted the most help with was food.

She knew nutrition mattered, but by the time she had thought about what to eat, planned it, shopped and cooked, it simply felt like another job she didn't have the energy for.
So rather than giving her another list of foods she “should” eat, we made eating easier.
We used her pathology and clinical history to understand what her body needed, while her endocrinologist continued managing her iron and B12 treatment. I then created individual meal plans, recipes and shopping lists around foods she could realistically prepare and eat.

Over time, Annie started cooking for herself again.
Her energy improved. She was sleeping better and thinking more clearly. Her follow-up pathology also showed improvement. As her health improved, Annie was able to be more mobile independently, while still choosing to use her mobility scooter for longer distances when she needed it.”

We worked on more than her physical health too. Annie had started forming beliefs about who she was becoming as her health declined, so part of our work involved changing those patterns and reconnecting her with what mattered to her.

One of her biggest reasons for wanting her health back was her new grandson. She wanted the energy and mobility to be part of his life.

At the end of our work together, Annie told me:
“Don't waste any more time. Contact Louise to get you back on the road to good health.”

Sometimes people don't need more health information.
They need someone to work out why the seemingly simple things have become so difficult and help make the next steps manageable again.

If parts of Annie's story feel familiar, book a Clarity Call with me and we can work out where I would start with you.
