Skippy's OSHC The Range 🌼 Hello September! 🌼

⛳🦚🦕 Our vacation care program took a wild and wonderful turn this week with a visit to Cooberrie Park Putt-Putt Golf! From peacocks strutting by to dinosaurs hiding around corners, the children stepped into a world of imagination, laughter, and adventure 🌿✨

The putt-putt course was more than just a game—it was teamwork, patience, and plenty of giggles! Each shot brought cheers and encouragement, with some exciting hole-in-ones to celebrate 🎉👏

What an incredible day of creativity, connection, and fun—we can’t wait for our next adventure! 💛

Talk Like a Pirate Day: Pirate Ship Fruit Bowls 🍍🏴‍☠️
Sail the seas with these fun pirate ship fruit bowls!
What you’ll need:
• Pineapple halves (scoop out the fruit to make a bowl) 🍍
• Mixed fruit (pineapple chunks, berries, grapes) 🍇🍍🍓
• Paper sails on toothpicks
How to make it:
1. Cut a pineapple in half and hollow out the inside, keeping the chunks.
2. Fill the pineapple halves with a mix of fresh fruit.
3. Insert small paper sails on toothpicks to make it look like a pirate ship!
4. Serve up a fruity, pirate-themed snack.
Great for a snack and pirate-themed fun!

🛡️💛 Child Protection Week 💛🛡️

This week we talked with the children about what it means to feel safe and the many ways our educators help every day 🌟 We also explored Ditto’s 3 Rules for Keeping Safe and created our own 5 Fingers of Safety ✋—trusted people children can go to if they ever feel worried or unsafe.

Empowering children to know their voice matters 💛

💜 Purple Power Bliss Balls 🥥
Nourishing bites packed with purple goodness.
What you’ll need:
• 1 cup rolled oats 🌾
• ½ cup pitted dates 🍬
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder 🍫
• Handful of frozen blueberries 🫐
How to make it:
1. Blend all ingredients until sticky and combined.
2. Roll mixture into small balls.
3. Chill in the fridge before serving.
Supporting child safety with every bite!

💛 Cheer-Up Chocolate Bar 🍫
A sweet treat to start important conversations.
What you’ll need:
• 200g dark or milk chocolate 🍫
• Mixed dried fruits 🍇
• Sunflower and pumpkin seeds 🌻🎃
How to make it:
1. Melt chocolate and spread on baking paper.
2. Sprinkle dried fruits and seeds evenly on top.
3. Chill until firm, then break into pieces.
Sometimes a sweet treat and a chat can change a day.

👔 Father’s Day: Dad’s Mighty Mug Pancake 🥞👨
A quick, warm pancake straight from the microwave to Dad’s plate.
What you’ll need:
• 4 tbsp self-raising flour
• 4 tbsp milk 🥛
• 1 egg 🥚
• 1 tsp sugar
• Dad’s favourite toppings (berries, maple syrup, etc.)
How to make it:
1. In a large microwave-safe mug, combine flour, milk, egg, and sugar.
2. Mix until smooth.
3. Microwave for 90 seconds on high.
4. Top with Dad’s favourite toppings and serve immediately.
A speedy, heartfelt treat to start Dad’s day with a smile!

💥👾 Exploding Monsters are back! 👾💥
Yesterday we revisited a much-loved STEM activity. The children drew their own monsters, picked their colours, and excitedly fed them their explosive food! With quick clip-seal bag skills, they watched the fizzing monsters burst to life—jumping back just in time to avoid the splash zone! 🌈✨

We love how hands-on learning sparks curiosity, laughter, and those big “WOW!” moments at Skippy’s. 🌱

Skippy's OSHC The Range 🌼 Hello September! 🌼

✨ Yesterday afternoon we let our creativity shine! ✨
With paint pens, baubles, feathers, glitter foam, and gems, we made some sparkly baubles to treasure and take home. 🎨💎
We didn’t stop there — our coloured paper and collage goodies turned into incredible 3D art masterpieces! 🌈✂️

🎉📚 That’s a wrap on Book Week! Our children hit the runway in a mini fashion parade, proudly showing off their favourite book characters 👑🐉✨ With music, laughter, and lots of cheering, everyone had a turn to shine and share who they were dressed as.

Afterwards, we kept the creativity flowing with a crafty afternoon full of imagination, problem-solving, and free choice fun 🎨✂️🌈
