Here at Gaming4Success, we have been a little quiet on social media lately as Damien has been running everything solo including tutoring and LEGO® Therapy aka LEGO® Club.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and we’re excited to share that some new initiatives will be rolling out this year!

📣 New in Term 2: DOTS — Dragons on the Spectrum!

We’re thrilled to be bringing Dragons on the Spectrum (DOTS) to our Term 2 program lineup at Gaming4Success!

DOTS was created to help neurodivergent young people build confidence, teamwork, and connection through fun, story-driven play inspired by the magic of games like Dungeons & Dragons.

This evidence-inspired social play experience uses guided storytelling, collaborative challenges, and imaginative role-play to help kids:
🟢 Grow social confidence
🟢 Build genuine friendships
🟢 Practise communication and problem-solving
🟢 Feel seen, supported, and included.

The program has recently been featured in national media for its impact in breaking down social barriers for neurodivergent children. You can read more about it here:

Welcome to 2025! I hope you are all having a fantastic start to the year.
We are very excited to be running LEGO Club with Damien this term. It will commence in week 3 of term and run for 6 weeks.

What is LEGO club you ask? It is a social development program that promotes sharing, social interaction, turn-taking skills and collaborative problem solving. It combines parts of therapy such as speech and OT.

And most importantly, it focuses on play- building sets and working on STEM problems.

Gaming4Success has had an extremely busy holiday break. We are ready to recommence tutoring services for the 2023 school year and are on the cusp of launching our Dungeons & Dragons program to boost literacy, numeracy, higher order thinking and social interaction skills which will run alongside Lego Club.

We have had a hold up on releasing our D&D program. For those that have been following along with social new articles, yes it impacts us also. For those that haven't, Dungeons & Dragons owners, Wizards of the Coast (a subsidiary of Hasbro) have announced changes to their open game license. Until the OGL is sorted, we will be cautious in offering programs. Our social gaming can most likely continue (at least in the short term) so we will launch that as soon as we know what is happening with OGL, but out more customised programs will be unable to operate under the nature of the proposed changes. We have options in the works if this is the case but those options are yet to be properly sorted out on the legality front at this time.

Stay tuned, it will happen, this unexpected hurdle will be conquered and we will have programs on offer in the near future. Social gaming will kick off almost immediately after the legal issues are sorted and our more indepth programs will commence as soon as NDIS protocols have been satisfied.
