Prospective Fault Current
I chopped a few minutes from the video so it could fit here.
The full 13 minute explanation is on my website hv.coach
In short kVA/V = Rated Current
Then
Rated Current / Tx Z = Prospective Fault Current (Let Through Current for you purists)
Hope you enjoy it.

Generators produce an EMF. (V)
When connected to a circuit you have current flow. (A)
Therefore, Generators give you Voltage and Amps. (V A)
How much of that V A is converted into Power (W) depends on the load the generator is connected to.
The same answer to the question, how much light will the generator make? It depends on the type of lights you connect to the generator.
Any device that has windings in it, i.e. an electric motor, will cause the Current to run out of sync with the Voltage and thus you will at times only have V or A in the circuit instead of V A and thus, at times, you do not have Power in the circuit.
Your generator is still delivering you the V and A, but your load is opposing the Current while allowing the Voltage to continue through to the rest of the circuit.
Thus, Generators and Transformers are rated in VA (kVA and MVA for larger ones.)
A generator manufacturer may take into account most loads are going to cause a 20% loss and so rate their generator in kW to make it easier for people trying to calculate the size of generator they may need.

What is a Refresher Course? It is NOT a course; it is simply a VOC (Verification of Competency); and Assessment conducted a course a couple of years after having completed your course, to determine if you are still competent and compliant.
You do NOT receive ANY competencies; you are only assessed on the competencies you already have.
If you have old competencies, you receive nothing.
If you have no competencies, you receive nothing.
It is not a course.
Many people do not know what the certificate that they receive means.
If you want to know if you are compliant, go to your USI and see what is on it.

An easy way to understand how the rotating magnetic field is generated in the three-phase induction motor, if you understand how the magnetic field is generated in a coil i.e., the electromagnetic bar magnet from first year Magnetism class.

Easy way to understand the Trigonometry Right-Angle Triangle.
It is much easier than teachers make out.

Join Dale West on Zoom and ask any question you like.
Do you have an issue on site?
Would you like to know what other sites are doing with a similar issue to you?
Have a question you are afraid to ask anyone on site?
Want to challenge Dale, put him to the test, disagree with him?
Now is the time to do it.
It’s free.
Anyone in any country is invited to attend.
Your image will not be displayed in the live presentation.
If you think you need a SLD of photo or switching program to be able to understand your question better, then by all means, email it through prior to the session.
After the session it will be edited and uploaded to YouTube and LinkedIn, removing any quiet spots and showing the images of those willing to go on camera.
