Our team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Thornhill Park Primary School as part of strengthening our local school partnerships and supporting our children’s transition to Prep. 🌱✨

Building strong connections between kindergarten and school helps us work together to support children’s confidence, independence and sense of belonging as they prepare for their next big adventure.

🌈 Colour Mixing Magic! πŸŽ¨πŸ”¬

Our Kinder children became little scientists and artists as they explored the magic of colour mixing!

Using the primary colours yellow and blue, the children experimented by mixing them together and carefully observing what happened.

πŸ’› Yellow + πŸ’™ Blue = πŸ’š Green!

Through this hands-on experience, children explored cause and effect, made predictions, observed changes and discovered how a new colour can be created. They also strengthened their creativity, curiosity, fine-motor skills and early scientific thinking.

There was lots of excitement as the children watched the colours transform right before their eyes! 🌈✨

Today our Chef joined our Kinder children for a fun conversation about healthy foods, flavours and textures. We loved hearing the children confidently name different foods and share their ideas β€” β€œApple! It’s crunchy!” πŸŽπŸ‘

As we prepare for Term 4 and the transition to school, experiences like this support children to build their language, confidence and independence.

And the excitement continues… next week, our little learners will be making healthy smoothies with our Chef! πŸ₯€πŸ“πŸŒ

As part of Child Protection Week, our children participated in a meaningful β€œMy Safe People” experience.

We talked about the special and trusted people in our lives who help us feel safe, loved and supported. Children were then invited to draw their own safe people and proudly share who they chose. πŸ₯°βœοΈ

Experiences like this help children understand that they have the right to feel safe, recognise trusted adults and build confidence to seek help when they need it.

What a wonderful celebration of stories, imagination and creativity across Aspire Thornhill Park! πŸŒˆπŸ“–

Our educators have been busy bringing some of our favourite books to life through beautiful displays, sensory play and engaging learning experiences. From Dear Zoo πŸ¦πŸ’, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? 🐻, Jack and the Beanstalk 🌱🏰 and Under the Sea 🐬🌊, to I’m the Best 🦊 and many more wonderful stories – every space has become its own little book adventure! ✨

Our children have also joined in the fun by dressing as their favourite characters πŸ•·οΈπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ, exploring story-inspired environments, engaging in sensory experiences, sharing books and using their imagination to bring stories beyond the pages.

Through these experiences, children are developing their language and communication, early literacy, creativity, curiosity and imaginative thinking, while discovering the joy that books and storytelling can bring. πŸ“šπŸ’­β€οΈ

From The Very Hungry Caterpillar inspiring our kitchen space πŸŽπŸπŸ“, to Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? transforming our learning environments 🐻, our team has embraced the magic of books through creative displays, dress-ups and meaningful experiences.

Children have been enjoying stories in different ways β€” through shared reading, digital storytelling, conversations, play and exploring the beautiful environments created by our educators. πŸ“–πŸ’«
