We are holding our AGM on Monday 14 September at 6pm at Rochester Community House.
Come along and listen to students and leaders from Rochester Primary School, Rochester Secondary College and St. Joseph's Primary School Rochester speak about our various partnership programs.

This week we have our Carer's Catch Up with Bern on Thursday at 1.30pm. If you know anyone who is caring for a loved one, please let them know of this important support that we have available.
We also have a new mobile phone number for the house.
This number replaces the existing one, so please update your records.

This week we have all the regular activities happening.
Our playgroup in the hall on Wednesdays starts at 10am, although we may look at changing this to 9am so that parents who have school drop off can just bring their little ones straight to playgroup for a play before going home for a nap. Let us know your thoughts on this idea.
Carer's catch up is on next week, so if you are a carer or know a carer who could benefit from this group, let us know and we will add their details to our SMS list.

Another busy week ahead with our usual activities and plenty happening.

With rain expected throughout the week, remember that our doors are always open. If you're feeling a little uneasy, worried, or simply need someone to talk to, pop in and have a chat with Bern (appointment required). Perhaps take part in one of our activities and try something new or just call in and chat with one of our friendly staff. Sometimes a friendly conversation can make all the difference.

Great news! The 20% rego rebate has been extended to August 31st. If you haven't applied for your rebate yet, call in and see us at Community House and we can help you. Just bring your driver's licence, rego, bank details, and phone number. You are eligible to claim two vehicles per person.

It's a busy one this week with Thursday shaping up to be a big one. Bern has her monthly Carer Catch up at 1.30pm, so if you are a carer or know a carer who is not connected to this group, tell them to come along and check it out.

And just like that we are back into it with Term 3 kicking off this week.
We have a couple of new activities staring this week with Indoor Bowls on Wednesday night in the Shire Hall from 7pm, cost for this is $5 per person.
Thursday from 12pm we have the Be Connected computer training. This is a free activity. Bookings are essential for both of these activities due to limited places, bookings can be made by phoning 54843600, email [email protected] or sending us a message on FB.

We are halfway through the holidays already, and into the second half of the year! There will be playgroup or pickleball this week, however they will both be back in the hall next week.
Speaking of the hall, with thanks to the wonderful Community Bank Elmore, Lockington and Rochester we have installed our blinds in the hall and what a difference it has made already. Thank you so much, please remember to support those who support us, and go and see the branch staff for all of your banking needs.
