🧪 Wrapping Up Science Week with Fun! 🧪

Today, our students enjoyed a fantastic Community Learning Day as we celebrated the end of Science Week! Working together in their house groups, students participated in a variety of exciting hands-on activities designed to promote a love of learning through science.

From planting grass seeds to take home and watch grow 🌱, to creating their very own rainbows 🌈, students explored concepts such as volume, depth, gravity, and so much more. It was wonderful to see curiosity, creativity, and teamwork on display throughout the day.

A special highlight was watching our junior and senior students work so brilliantly together, supporting one another and sharing in the joy of discovery.

Here are a few sneak peeks of the fun our students had today! 📸✨

📚🐸 A VISIT FROM THE CAMPASPE LIBRARY!

Our P-2 students had a wonderful visit from Jess from the Campaspe Shire Council Library.
Jess shared two fantastic stories with our students, Frogs Are Our Friends 🐸 and Dear Broccoli 🥦, followed by some fun and engaging activities connected to the books.

A big thank you to Jess for coming along and sharing the joy of reading with our students! 📖

NATIONAL WEEK OF ACTION AGAINST BULLYING 🚫

This week, our whole school has come together for the National Week of Action Against Bullying and Violence.
Across the school, students have participated in webinars, classroom activities, discussions and learning experiences focused on understanding bullying, building respectful relationships and supporting one another.
It has been wonderful to see our students sharing their ideas, showing kindness and learning how we can all play a part in creating a safe, inclusive and respectful school community.

Together, we can make a difference. There’s NO WAY! for bullying at St Joseph’s. 💙💛

Working Together to Build Safe and Respectful School Communities

At St Joseph’s, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful school environment where every child feels valued, supported and connected.
As part of the National Week of Action Against Bullying this week, students will participate in daily classroom learning activities and view a Kids Helpline educational video designed to increase awareness and understanding of bullying. These learning experiences will help students recognise what bullying is, understand its impact, and know what they can do if they witness or experience it.
Bullying occurs when a person repeatedly and deliberately uses their power to hurt, intimidate or upset another person. It can take many forms, including physical, verbal, social and online behaviours.
By developing a shared understanding of bullying, students, families and staff can work together to identify concerns early and respond in positive and supportive ways. Through promoting respectful relationships and a culture of kindness, we can help ensure every child feels safe, included and ready to learn.
Remember: If your child is concerned about bullying, encourage them to speak with a trusted adult. Working together, we can provide the support they need and help maintain a safe and respectful environment for all.
