DESIGNING TOMORROW AT BOND UNIVERSITY | Students interested in architecture immersed themselves in the world of design at Bond University’s Architecture Experience Day on Thursday, 4 June 2026. This opportunity brought classroom learning to life, allowing students to explore how creativity, innovation, and technical skill combine to shape the built environment.
Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on workshops including Sketch and Design, Model Making, and Fabrication & Robotics demonstrations. These experiences closely mirror the learning pathways fostered within Redeemer Lutheran College’s Innovation Hub, where students are encouraged to think critically, design creatively, and bring ideas into reality through our specialised design and construction labs.
This real-world exposure strengthens the connection between our learning spaces and future pathways, inspiring students to see how the skills they develop in Redeemer’s design and construction labs can translate into innovative careers in architecture and beyond. Experiences like this continue to nurture a culture of creativity, curiosity, and confident problem-solving, empowering our students to become the designers and builders of tomorrow.

JAPANESE FOOD AND LEARNING | Year 8 and 10 students studying Japanese visited Shabu House in the city for a delicious Japanese all-you-can-eat buffet.
This visit coincides with the unit theme of Japanese food: Year 8 students are learning about Japanese cuisine and how to read and write a recipe, and Year 10 students are learning about the health benefits of various Japanese food.
They enjoyed an amazing array of sushi, a range of hot food and a selection of desserts, including delicious maccha cheesecake. They had their own private room where the students could enjoy the food with their friends. A practical way of putting their language skills to the test!

FUEL FOR EXAM BLOCK | Last Friday, the Our Saviour Congregation hosted a barbeque breakfast for our Year 11 and 12s as they enter the exam period.
Revision is both time and energy consuming, so it was no surprise we saw nearly the entire Senior cohort gathered at the Chapel Hub to enjoy the gesture of a free breakfast to fuel them for the week to come. Students from the Junior School also joined them to wish them good luck in their study.
We extend our thanks to the Our Saviour Congregation for selflessly arranging this treat for our students, and wish them good luck in their assessment!
