Early Birds Rochedale is one of the longest standing childcare centres in Rochedale and has been owned and operated by the Bird Family since opening in 1993. The dedicated owners Gavin and Karen Bird have over 40 years’ experience teaching in early childhood and primary education between them. They believe that ‘caring’ and ‘education’ go hand-in-hand and that children’s experiences in the early years are a vital first step in what should be a lifelong quest for knowledge. 🐚🌿 **LITTLE HANDS, BIG DISCOVERIES**

What happens when children's curiosity leads the learning? 💚

Our Junior Kindy children have been exploring the world of our Centre pets, using their fascination with our hermit crabs to investigate habitats, ask questions and recreate what they've discovered through hands-on play.

At Milestones Early Learning Rochedale, we believe children learn best when they can **touch, explore, wonder and discover — especially when nature and animals are part of the journey. 🌿

Big learning starts with little moments of wonder. ✨

🌏💙💚🩷 CELEBRATING THE CULTURES THAT MAKE US, US

Our Kindy children have been travelling the world without leaving Milestones Rochedale! ✈️🌏

Through our India and Japan experiences, our educators have shared their own cultures with the children through traditional clothing, henna art, origami, stories and meaningful conversations.

We love that the diversity within our own centre community becomes part of the children's learning. These experiences encourage curiosity, respect and belonging, while helping children discover and celebrate the wonderful world around them. ❤️

Different cultures. Shared experiences. One beautiful community. 🌏✨

Stay tuned and see where we discover next!

Every child is an artist! 💙

Through open-ended art experiences, our little learners are free to create, explore and express their own ideas — building confidence and imagination along the way. 🌈🖌️

At Milestones Rochedale, there’s no “right” way to create — their ideas are the masterpiece. 💕

🐚💚 **MEET KEVIN!** 💚🐚

Learning comes in all shapes and sizes at Milestones Early Learning Rochedale — and sometimes it even comes with a shell! 🥰

Kevin, our little hermit crab, has become a special part of our learning environment. Through caring for Kevin, our children have opportunities to explore living things, responsibility, kindness and respect for the natural world. 🌿

We love creating meaningful, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and give our children something exciting to investigate, talk about and care for.

And we think Kevin has a pretty great little home too! 🐚🌿💚
