Next week our Toastmaster is Thomas Watts, with the theme “Australiana.”

What does Australiana mean to you? From iconic landscapes and unforgettable characters to quirky traditions and shared experiences, this meeting will celebrate the stories, humour, and culture that make Australia unique.

We'll hear prepared speeches, with evaluations. And we'll also have a table topics segment!

Join us for an evening celebrating all things Australian through speeches, impromptu speaking, and plenty of great conversation.

The theme for our meeting last week was “Passing the Torch”, with Steve Cameron as our Toastmaster of the evening.

We enjoyed engaging speeches from Steven Sedgman, Alan Oberstein, and Lou Cervetto, supported by thoughtful evaluations from Mihoko Harrison, Peter Haigh, and Keith Howden.

A special highlight of the evening was the Induction of Officers for the 2026/27 Toastmasters year, led by Ann Yates, as we officially welcomed our new committee. We also heard an inspiring address from our incoming President, Zeb Brown, as he shared his vision for the year ahead.

Congratulations to our incoming committee, and thank you to everyone who has contributed to another successful Toastmasters year. We look forward to an exciting year of growth, leadership, and communication.

This week our Toastmaster is Steve Cameron, with the theme “Passing the Torch.”

This meeting will be a little different from our usual format as we celebrate the transition to a new Toastmasters year.

A highlight of the evening will be the Induction of Officers for the 2026/27 Toastmasters year, led by Ann Yates, followed by an address from incoming President Zeb Brown.

Join us for an evening of speeches, recognition, and the passing of the torch to our new leadership team.

The theme for our meeting last Wednesday, June 10th, was “Surname”, with Mihoko Harrison as our Toastmaster of the evening.

We enjoyed engaging speeches from Peter Haigh, Ryan Rigby, and Steve Cameron, supported by thoughtful evaluations from Jeffery Thomas, Mark Mourell, and Thomas Watts, with Ann Yates evaluating Table Topics. On the night we also had Alan leading Table Topics and Michael Beecroft taking on the Hot Seat.

This Wednesday the 10th our Toastmaster is Mihoko Harrison, with the theme “Surname.”

Our names carry stories, histories, and connections. Join us as we explore the significance of surnames, family heritage, and the identities that shape who we are.

There will also be a special segment at the end of the meeting for the election of the Committee for 2026/27.
